Kevin & Catherine chose to have their wedding at one of Boston’s most unique venues, the Museum of Science. The couple had a simple ceremony as befits a Quaker service. Nonetheless, they wanted the reception to be fun and reflect more of their personalities. For them the Museum of Science was the perfect setting, since 1) they are both self-proclaimed “geeks” & 2) the Museum sits half in Boston and half in Cambridge, just as Kevin lived in Boston and Catherine in Cambridge when they first met! The setting inspired many of the details of the reception, like the flower arrangements in lab glassware, escort cards on microscope slides and favors of M&Ms in test tubes. They also wanted to bring their love of nature in as a theme, and that is reflected in their wedding stationary, which features a design based on two mountains in Acadia National Park, and in the cake, which is decorated to evoke a tree and is topped with two love birds.
A big thank you to Catherine and Kevin for being so lovely to work with and for trusting Person + Killian Photography to document this special day!
