Stephanie and James wanted to keep the feeling of “old world” early Boston alive at their beautiful Downtown Boston wedding which included two historic buildings.
The day began at the Omni Parker House, a building that has been around since the 1850’s, right in the heart of Downtown Boston. Stephanie got dressed and ready in the hotel with her friends and family, with a funky pair of custom blue wedding shoes completing her outfit! In the meantime James was preparing for the day with his own group, and although the couple didn’t see each other before the ceremony, they did exchange wedding day cards to each other.
The next stop was the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston’s South End, another historic 1850’s building, for the catholic ceremony. This cathedral definitely has an old-world Boston feel — with high vaulted ceilings and lots of stained glass, it always makes for great pictures. We stuck around the church after the ceremony for a few pictures with the newlyweds and their wedding party before heading back to the Omni Parker House for the party.
The reception took place in the Omni’s Rooftop Ballroom, looking colorful and elegant with classic white table settings and pink and purple uplighting. Everyone was happy to celebrate well into the night with the newlyweds!
Congratulations to Stephanie and James, we had a blast sharing this day with you!
