Boston Public Library Wedding of Mia + Michael

May 17, 2013

The outdoor courtyard at the Boston Public Library is one of our favorite ceremony locations in the city! The beautiful gardens and Italian-inspired fountain make for a perfect backdrop to a warm-weather wedding. We loved being back in the courtyard for our first Boston Public Library wedding of the season to celebrate Mia + Michael.

The Boston Public Library has so many unique spaces for all sorts of fun pictures — after getting ready at the nearby Lenox Hotel, the bride and groom decided to have their “first look” on the BPL’s magnificent grand staircase. We stayed inside the main lobby to get some shots with Mia, Michael and their wedding party before heading outside to the courtyard for the ceremony. Guests remained out in the courtyard to enjoy the spring weather for their cocktail hour, while we took the newlyweds around the venue for some more pictures.

The party was moved inside for the reception — the Courtyard Restaurant was revamped to match Mia and Michael’s colors with purple linens, beautiful purple floral arrangements, silver chiavari chairs and purple lighting to complete the look. A traditional cake cutting, toasts, and a night full of dancing (including an impromptu Hora) followed in the adjacent Map Room. Everyone had a blast celebrating this great couple – including us!

Special thanks to the always fantastic team of The Catered Affair at the Boston Public Library for another beautiful event, and congratulations Mia and Michael!

From Mia + Michael – “Jill, Thank you so so so much. We LOVE the photos!!!!  I have already looked through the cd so many times!! I couldn’t be more in love with the photos!!!  You were amazing to work with!”
