Rosecliff Mansion is a stunning location to photograph a Newport wedding. With its marble staircases, garden courtyard, and acres of beautiful greenery it is truly a one-of-a-kind location. Marlena + Mark took advantage of all of the Rosecliff elegance when designing their spring Newport wedding. With planning, coordination and design by Amy Kimball of Amy Kimball Events, the couple was able to celebrate the wedding of their dreams.
The bride and groom infused their classic wedding day with color wherever possible, including the pops of pink in the floral arrangements, the brides shoes and the groom’s custom blue tuxedo jacket. The traditional Catholic wedding ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Church in Newport, the same church where John F. Kennedy and Jackie Onassis got married back in 1953. Following some family portraits at the church, we headed to the mansion. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we were able to utilize several of the Rosecliff’s outdoor spaces, including the garden courtyard and grassy terrace overlooking the Atlantic ocean for photos of the newlyweds.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served under the terrace canopy and around the outdoor fountain, and featured a full raw bar and an unbeatable view of the of the Newport seaside. The dinner reception was held in the Rosecliff Mansion Ballroom, whose golden chandeliers and intricately carved ceiling already make for a beautiful and elegant space. The ballroom was enhanced with green fern centerpieces and smaller floral arrangements. Guests enjoyed music from Veronica Martell Entertainment, a delicious meal and dessert, and hand-rolled cigars courtesy of Boston Cigar Factory throughout the evening.
