With freshly fallen snow on the ground throughout New England we could not be more excited to see the latest Spring/Summer 2016 issue of The Knot New England out on newsstands and in stores everywhere. The latest issue features the real of wedding of Meghan and Tim at Taj Boston. This gorgeous wedding was designed by the incredibly talented team at Marc Hall Design and we are thrilled to see it in print.
From The Knot “Meghan Altman (a national account director at GSK) and Tim Stoll (a senior director at BioMed Realty) pulled off a chic, modern wedding at Taj Boston in Boston, Massachusetts, with over-the-top floral arrangements and a sophisticated black, white and silver palette. A traditional Catholic ceremony at Cathedral of the Holy Cross preceded the reception, the 19th-century Gothic Revival architecture and tall arrangements of white cherry blossoms provided a dramatic backdrop for the occasion. For the reception, Meghan and Tim turned to Taj Boston, a 1927 landmark hotel with an enviable address overlooking Boston Public Garden. The pair passed on the venue’s many opulent jewel-box ballrooms, instead hosting the post-ceremony festivities on the roof, where guests profited from 180-degree views of the Boston skyline. The talented team at Marc Hall Design transformed the space into a modern-day Garden of Eden with suspended floral installations and fresh bunches of white peonies and calla lilies. Candlelight filled the room with a warm, ambient glow and details like place-inspired table names put a personal spin on the chic decor. The couple made sure no guest went hungry, filling cocktail hour and dinner with seemingly endless eats like tuna tartare, New York sirloin and more. The band Soho blew everyone out of the water and kept the party going late into the night. The couple surprised everyone with a crepe station, a nod to their engagement in Paris, France, and sent guests home with a few sweet treats. A tip from Meghan: “Decide as a couple what your top priorities are and stick with them. There is no need to fret about minute details that you simply don’t have time to get to. Spend time selecting your vendors and make sure you enjoy them. Trust the professionals you decide on and rely on them to create the vision you share. Enjoy the planning and the journey through your engagement.”
