Even though our calendars may say it is Fall, this Omni Parker House wedding of Rana and Kevin managed to soak up the very last bits of summer before we move into a new season. This wedding celebration was the perfect reflection of the bride and groom, with traditions from both sides of their new family and an elegant touch of classic Boston.
Both Rana and Kevin got ready for their day inside the Omni Parker House — Rana with her bridesmaids and Kevin with his groomsmen. The couple chose not to see each other before the wedding ceremony so they were skirted away separately from the Omni Parker House to St. Cecilia’s Parish in Back Bay. The couple said their “I do”s in a Catholic wedding ceremony in front of friends and family.
Following the ceremony, we brought Rana, Kevin, and their wedding party out to the Boston Public Garden for their formal photographs. They were truly lucky to have caught the last little bit of summer in the city, with even a few of the trees already showing signs of an orange and yellow Fall. We could not have asked for a more perfect day — bright sunshine, green grass, and the beautiful pond in the middle gave us lots of opportunities for photos with the bride and groom.
When we returned to the Omni Parker House, Rana and Kevin celebrated a second ceremony — this one a traditional Persian wedding ceremony to honor Rana’s heritage. All of the details of the ceremony were handmade by Rana’s mother, she had been working on them for the past year in preparation for the big day. The ceremony included prayers for the bride and groom, gifts, and a joyous celebration for all the guests in attendance. From there we moved into the ballroom, for dinner and dancing with the happy couple. The gold details of the chairs, linens, charger plates, and gold chandeliers made a perfectly beautiful and elegant reception for this wonderful bride and groom.
