When we are not busy shooting weddings here in Boston, we love to take time with our brides and grooms to be for some engagement photos. This Back Bay Boston engagement session took place on a mild Sunday in early December, a lucky day for weather during the unpredictable Boston winter. Amanda and Greg are currently planning their wedding for October 2018 at the Intercontinental Hotel, and they wanted a winter engagement session for some holiday-themed photos!

We met Amanda and Greg at our office on Newbury Street, and started the engagement session right outside our own building. The beautiful historic brownstones made a perfect backdrop for the photos, and we took advantage of the wreaths, lights, and holiday decorations on the buildings and trees of Back Bay for this holiday themed engagement shoot. Amanda and Greg even brought some of their own props to use in the session, like colorful strings of lights and an oversized Christmas present. We stayed in the Back Bay neighborhood with a quick walk over to Commonwealth Avenue, where we got some photos with the couple on the tree-lined streets. Our last stop was the Charles River, just a few short blocks down the road, where we got some pictures with Amanda and Greg along the beautiful waterfront.

We are so excited to spend this time with our soon-to-be brides and grooms before the hustle and bustle of the wedding day. Its a fun, easy-going way to get to know each other a little better, and we can’t wait to see Amanda and Greg at the Intercontinental next Fall!
