It’s a classic Boston love story — two strangers happen to sit next to each other at Fenway Park, they get to talking, and the rest is history. But it wasn’t their love of baseball that brought them to the park that day, both Julia and Steve were college prep volunteers at the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center and Fenway happened to be holding their Annual Mentoring Night. Just under six years after that serendipitous night, Julia and Steve were saying “I do” at a gorgeous Four Seasons Hotel Boston wedding.
The bride and groom wanted their wedding day to be modern and romantic — with bright spring colors of pink, peach, and gold. Those splashes of colors showed up throughout this wedding celebration, from Julia’s bouquet of peonies and ranunculus to the floral arrangements at the wedding altar all the way to the soft pink wedding cake with a bright pink peony. Julia and Steve had their first look at the top of the Four Seasons grand staircase, and we took formal photos of the couple both inside and outside the hotel.
The wedding ceremony took place in the Four Seasons Governor’s Room, surrounded by Julia and Steve’s closest friends and family. For the wedding celebration we moved to the Four Seasons Boston’s Aujourd’hui room — the gold carpets and detailing were complimented perfectly by the classic white linens, gold chairs and table settings, and colorful spring floral centerpieces. Following dinner and toasts, Julia changed into a traditional red Chinese dress to finish off the night’s celebration.
For this bride and groom, their wedding day was centered around the celebration of their relationship, and sharing that love with their friends and family.
