This summer seaside Belle Mer wedding came to us by way of the talented Carol Silverston of The Original Touch. In coordination with Jodi Raphael of Jodi Raphael Events, this team brought their A-game for NYC based couple Liz and Nick for their wedding day in Rhode Island.
Liz and Nick took full advantage of the elegant beauty of the Belle Mer — adding glitz and pops of summer color to this already amazing wedding venue. The wedding day started next door at Gurney’s Newport Hotel and Spa where the couple got ready with their wedding party. After the bride and groom had their first look at Belle Mer in front of the ivy wall, we met up with the wedding party for formals with the stunning ocean backdrop.
As guests arrived at the Belle Mer, they passed through a custom entryway created by Carol, Jodi and their team. The white walkway, drapes, and tall floral arrangements looked out over the Belle Mer Lawn, ocean, and Newport bridge and served as a spot for guests to pose for photos and enjoy the gorgeous views. The wedding ceremony took place on the water, where Liz and Nick said their I do’s under the floral chuppah.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails on the lawn before moving into the Belle Mer’s Water Salon for the reception. The modern white space was accentuated with mirror-top tables, shimmering silver linens, and a mix of classic white and colorful pink, red, and purple floral arrangements. Guests packed the dance floor all evening long, and were even treated to a surprise fireworks show out on the waterfront after dinner. For Liz and Nick, what they wanted more than anything was to give their guests a fun and memorable night of celebration, and this beautiful summer Belle Mer wedding certainly delivered.
