Every year it comes back, and every year we’re just as excited as we were last time. That’s right — summer has finally returned to Boston! At this gorgeous Boston summer wedding, we celebrated with Maria and Ryan. For the bride and groom, the day was all about family and friends and celebrating their relationship in the best of company. When we asked Maria and Ryan to describe how they envisioned their summer wedding day they used words like “chic”, “elegant”, and “classic”. But above all they used the word emotional — and they were right on the money!
Maria (an oncology nurse at Dana-Farber) and Ryan (an ice hockey forward playing in the American Hockey League) surrounded themselves with a large wedding party for the day’s celebration. Eight bridesmaids, eight groomsmen, and eight little nieces and nephews started the day with the bride and groom getting ready at the Fairmont Copley Plaza.
The couple became husband and wife in a full Catholic Mass ceremony at the beautiful St. Cecilia Church. We took full advantage of the sunny summer afternoon after the ceremony for some formal photos with the newlyweds and their wedding party throughout Copley Square, before heading across to the Fairmont Copley Plaza for the evening’s reception. The Fairmont Copley Plaza Ballroom was elegantly transformed with classic white linens and tall white floral centerpieces, touches of gold detail, and stunning purple lighting. Family and friends could not wait to eat, drink, toast, dance, and celebrate with this wonderful couple — and we were honored to be there right alongside them!
