Summer has arrived, and we’re kicking the season off with a stunning and elegant Greek wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston! Demetra and Michael kept their Boston wedding day classic, with colors of white, black, and gold throughout the event. Demetra’s stunning Vera Wang wedding gown was matched with classic black dresses that were custom-made by Allison Collection in NYC, and all the ladies carried white summer floral arrangements.

Michael spent the morning getting ready in the Four Seasons Hotel Boston, and we met up with him on top of the hotel’s elegant grand staircase where the couple had their first look. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and we took advantage of the Boston Public Garden right across the street for some outdoor photos with the bride and groom. We were soon joined by the rest of the bridal party for a few formals in the park. On the way back into the hotel we got an unexpected surprise — a quick photo with Ringo Starr! We were in the right place at the right time, as he pulled up in his car right in front of the bride and groom to give his congratulations.

The traditional Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony took place at the nearby St. John the Baptist Church, and included some beautiful Greek wedding traditions that we absolutely love photographing. Cocktail hour was held in the Four Season’s Aujourd’hui room while the finishing touches were put on the beautiful ballroom. The decor was a mix of classic white and elegant gold, with towering white floral centerpieces in bright gold vases matched with gold and white chiavari ballroom chairs. Even the classic 4-tiered white wedding cake was accented with shimmery gold stripes. Demetra + Michaels stunning wedding was the perfect compliment to the natural elegance and beauty of the Four Seasons Boston ballroom, they could not have picked a better location!

Guests enjoyed toasts, lots of traditional Greek dancing, food, and a fun and celebratory night with the happy bride and groom. We were so thrilled to have been a part of this wedding!! As always a big thank you to Philip Deschamps and the entire Four Seasons Hotel team for being so amazing to work with! Congratulations Demetra + Michael!!

Jamie and Ben wanted their beautiful Boston wedding to be classic, modern, and feel like an elegant and glamorous party for all of their friends and family to enjoy! They chose traditional colors of black and white, and had a fantastic team of local Boston wedding professionals to help bring their vision to life. They chose the Mandarin Oriental Boston right in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay for the days events — the perfect venue for everything from the morning preparations through to the after party.

We started the morning with Jamie and her bridesmaids as they got ready for the big day at the Mandarin Oriental Boston. Each bridesmaid (plus Jamie and Ben’s moms) had a personalized white bathrobe embroidered with their initials. The ladies helped Jamie button up into her beautiful Judd Waddell wedding gown. The Mandarin Oriental’s outdoor garden was the perfect location to have their traditional first look. We also spent some time inside with Jamie + Ben, getting a few pre-wedding photos in the Mandarin Oriental Boston’s many beautiful indoor spaces, before being joined by close friends and family for formals.

Jamie + Ben signed their wedding Ketubah, before beginning the wedding ceremony in the Mandarin Oriental Boston Ballroom. William Mizuta Private Florist provided the gorgeous chuppah that the happy couple were married under, wrapped in white fabric and accented with beautiful white flowers.  Jamie + Ben wanted to pay homage to the Mandarin Oriental’s Asian influences during their cocktail hour, so guests enjoyed a fabulous sushi station manned by a live sushi chef as part of their hors d’oeuvres!

The Mandarin Oriental Boston Ballroom was transformed into a gorgeous reception space. The decor complimented the Ballroom’s natural golden light, with a mix of submerged florals and beautiful white arrangements illuminated by candle light on each of the tabletops. The golden ballroom chairs were matched with textured golden charger plates, and the white chuppah remained in the corner to house the stunning  four-tiered black and white wedding cake. The party kicked off with the first dance and traditional Hora, and DJ Mike Amado kept everyone dancing all night!

Special thanks to Jamie + Ben for sharing your beautiful wedding day with us, and to the entire team at the Mandarin Oriental Boston for a flawless (and fun!) event. Congratulations!

When we asked Lindsey to describe her beautiful Four Seasons Boston wedding day, she said “romantic, classic, elegant, with a modern flair!“. This stunning wedding was all that and more, with the beautiful backdrop of the Four Seasons Boston, gorgeous floral arrangements from Marc Hall Designs, and the impeccable design and planning of the team at Janie Haas Events.

We started the day with Lindsey and her bridesmaids in the rooms of the Four Seasons Boston. After the final touches of hair and makeup, we photographed the bride getting buttoned into her gown — a classic white strapless dress with a silver beaded belt designed by Monique L’hullier. The bridesmaid’s deep blue dresses added a great pop of color, matched with pearl earrings and necklaces for the ladies. The attendant’s bouquets from Marc Hall Designs was soft and modern, an arrangement of mostly white flowers with accents of bright orange and yellow. The bride carried a modern twist on a classic bouquet made of white rose petals.

Lindsey and Luis had their first look on the steps of the Four Season’s grand staircase, before heading outside to get some shots of the happy bride and groom in the Boston Public Garden! Before beginning the ceremony in the Four Seasons Boston’s Governor’s Room, the bride and groom signed their Ketubah — a traditional Jewish marriage document — surrounded by friends and family. The elegant ballroom ceremony that followed was absolutely breathtaking, a classic white Chuppah stood in front of a wall of white flowers where Lindsey and Luis would exchange their vows. The back of the aisle was accented by a white and green floral arrangement, with flowers pouring out onto the floor as the wedding party processed down the aisle. Lindsey and Luis said their “I do”s in an inter-faith ceremony, mixing both Jewish and Catholic traditions from both sides of their families.

Guests enjoyed cocktails in the Aujourd’hui room, which featured a stunning display of customized ice sculptures. Drinks were served on one side of the ice bar, with a delicious raw bar displayed on the other side. The Foyer space outside of the Grand Ballroom was warmly lit with candles, and featured a set of four classic white lily centerpieces displayed on intricate white pedestals lit with a splash of purple color.Four Seasons Boston Wedding Photography LL 015

The Four Season’s Grand Ballroom wedding reception was romantic and elegant. Classic round dining tables with traditional champagne linens were mixed with long communal mirror-top tables, each surrounded by white chiavari ballroom chairs. The long tables were topped with a mix of low white florals, while taller arrangements on each of the dining rounds were accented with pin spot lighting from Suzanne B Lowell. We also loved the textured blue and purple lighting on the dance floor, giving the ballroom a great pop of color. Large white candles in varying crystal holders gave the room a warm and intimate glow, and curved white banquettes in each corner of the room gave this traditionally elegant wedding reception a modern twist.

Kate + Joe described their wedding day as a “black tie summer wedding on the water” — and it turned out to be absolutely picture perfect! They chose the Boston Harbor Hotel as their wedding venue, with the elegant Wharf Room for dinner and dancing, and lots of spots for harbor-side photos it was the perfect place for their formal summer wedding.

Kate and her bridesmaids started the morning at her family house in Wellesley, relaxing and getting dressed and ready for the big day. After the final touches of hair and makeup, Kate’s mom and sister helped her into her gorgeous strapless wedding gown and we headed off to the church. The traditional Catholic wedding ceremony took place at the nearby St. John’s Church in Wellesley, and finished with the happy newlyweds exiting the church to a sea of guests blowing bubbles! Kate and Joe greeted their guests in a traditional receiving line before their friends and family traveled to the Boston Harbor Hotel to begin the party. We stayed at the church with the bride, groom, and their wedding party for some great formal shots outside, as well as some traditional bride and groom car shots in their beautiful white 1937 Packard before making the trip back to Boston.

Before heading inside to the reception, we took advantage of the Boston Harbor Hotel’s beautiful harbor-side view and iconic Rotunda for some formal wedding photography with the bridal party right on the water. Afterward, we brought Kate and Joe inside the Wharf Room before guests came in for a sneak peek of their gorgeous elegant wedding reception! The decor was colorful, summery, and classic — with shades of blue, white, ivory, green, and yellow. White roses, orchids, and calla lilies were mixed with pops of bright purple and green in the stunning floral centerpieces from Lotus Designs, and soft candlelight on each table gave the room a warm and intimate glow. Each towering floral arrangement was displayed in a sleek crystal vase, and surrounded by smaller arrangements on all sides to really fill the tables with color.

The party kicked off with a traditional first dance, cake cutting, beautiful toasts from friends and family, and parent dances with the bride and groom. Once the dance floor was open, guests kicked off their heels and put on colorful flip flops to dance the night away! Before the evening came to a close, we took Kate and Joe back outside for some beautiful nighttime shots overlooking the harbor with the incredible moonlight and city lights behind them.

We had so much fun spending the day with this great couple, special thanks to The Wedding Beautiful, Inc. for a beautiful event, and the entire team at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Congratulations Kate + Joe!

Jenny + Michael described their beautiful summer Fairmont Battery Wharf wedding with two little words: “simple elegance”. With clean colors of white, gold, and blue, a beautiful outdoor ceremony on the harbor, and a small intimate reception in the Fairmont Battery Wharf’s Constitution Ballroom, this was a beautiful affair!

Jenny and her bridesmaids started the day getting ready in the rooms above the Wharf — we loved the sparkly gold heels Jenny matched with her strapless white wedding dress, and the beautiful blue bridesmaids dresses she picked out for her bridal party! Each of the bridesmaids wore a classic white pearl necklace to contrast with the blue dress, and they all carried white summer bouquets from Lyndsey Loring Design. Once we got the word that everyone was ready to go, we took Jenny + Michael outside to the harbor to have their traditional first look. We were soon joined by the rest of the bridal party, and we got some great formal shots right in front of the water with friends and family.

The outdoor ceremony took place behind the hotel overlooking the Boston Harbor — after the big kiss, we got a few more shots with the happy newlyweds before joining the rest of the guests for cocktail hour! Cocktails were set up outside on the harbor, as well as inside the Fairmont Battery Wharf’s on-site Maritime Museum. Guests were then moved into the beautiful Old North Skylight Room to find their escort cards and await the big entrance of the bride and groom. Jenny + Michael had their first dance inside the Skylight Room, which features a beautiful domed skylight ceiling and marble dance floor. Then we moved inside the Constitution Ballroom for the party to begin!

Jenny + Michael chose clean and simple arrangements of white flowers for their centerpieces, matched with grey linens and gold ballroom chairs. Their wedding cake came from the famous Mike’s Bakery in Boston’s North End, who also provided an array of fresh cannolis for guests to enjoy at dessert! Everyone ate, drank, and danced the night away at this beautiful and elegant wedding, happy to be celebrating such a fun and wonderful couple.

Special thanks to the team at the Fairmont Battery Wharf, and to Jenny + Michael for letting us be a part of your special day!

Sarah + John’s beautifully classic Four Seasons Hotel Boston wedding combined traditional Boston elegance with a touch of fun summer flair for a really special and unforgettable evening. With the design and floral expertise of Carol Silverston of The Original Touch and the immaculate coordination of the Four Seasons Boston’s Philip Deschamps, each detail was stunning, fun, and perfectly executed!

Sarah + John combined classic wedding colors of white, gold, and pearl with fun pops of navy throughout their design and decor. Sarah wore a beautiful asymmetrical wedding gown paired with navy blue  heels and a soft white bouquet.

We did the couple’s first look on the Four Seasons elegant grand staircase, followed by a few quick photographs of the smiling bride and groom inside the hotel. From there we headed across the street for some wedding formals in the Boston Public Garden. The weather was perfect for a summer wedding, and we had plenty of time to get pictures of the whole wedding party in the Garden as well as some romantic summer shots of Sarah + John alone prior to the ceremony.

The traditional Catholic wedding ceremony took place at the historic Cathedral of the Holy Cross in downtown Boston — one of our favorite Boston wedding ceremony venues. Following the vows, it was back to the Four Seasons  for cocktails in the ballroom foyer. The wedding reception in the ballroom was fresh, summery, and elegant, with bright white linens and beautiful pearl-colored ballroom chairs. The clear glass charger plates were lined with a touch of gold, and the floral centerpieces mixed classic white blossoms with pops of green, pink, and purple. Sarah + John had two wedding cakes — a classic and elegant tiered cake topped with white roses for the couple, and a fun golf-themed cake just for the groom. Overall it was a beautiful summer Four Seasons Hotel Boston wedding, and we loved being able to share it with the happy newlyweds and their family.

Special thanks to Carol Silverston and Philip Deschamps for always being so wonderful to work with! Congratulations Sarah + John!!

We are so happy to finally kick off this 2013 Spring wedding season, and we can’t wait to share here on the blog in the coming weeks and months — starting with Maria and Peter’s gorgeous spring wedding at the InterContinental Hotel Boston.

Maria and Peter’s family made up their wedding party, including the bride and groom’s mini Dachshund named CoCo — who wore her own wedding gown and veil for the ceremony. The beautiful spring weather allowed us to get some great outdoor photographs so we headed right across the street to the Rose Kennedy Greenway for some family formals and pictures with the happy newlyweds, taking full advantage of the season. Before heading back inside for the reception, we spent a few minutes with Maria and Peter out back with Boston Harbor as the backdrop.

Thank you Maria and Peter and to the whole team at the InterContinental Hotel Boston for being so great to work with! We can’t wait to work with so many wonderful couples this Spring and throughout the year.

From Maria, Peter and CoCo: “Hi Jill,  I just want to say thank you. My pictures are AMAZING and you are extremely good at what you do! I just can not say enough wonderful things about the quality of pics and level of professionalism… Thank you again, Maria , Peter , & CoCo”

Winter was in the air at Jenn + Mike’s beautiful State Room Boston wedding. Look closely and you’ll find snowflakes everywhere in this wedding — and not just from the snow outside that Jenn was hoping for! The little winter details popped up on everything from the invitations to the bridesmaid’s earrings to the bride’s bouquet.

After getting ready at the InterContinental Boston and their first look, Jenn and Mike braved the snow outside to get some adorable pictures together before heading over to the State Room.

The ceremony took place in the State Room’s Harborside Room. Crystal snowflakes hung from the ceremony arch, and dangled from the floral arrangements and candles and white hydrangeas lined the isle. Following the ceremony, guests moved to the Cityside Room for cocktails. The room was beautifully decorated with white linens, pink and purple floral arrangements, and Boston themed escort cards featuring different T stops around the city.

While guests enjoyed cocktails, the Harborside Room was transformed into a beautiful winter reception space featuring gorgeous blue linens, silver chairs, and candlelit white centerpieces. By the time the evening was over, the city of Boston was covered in a sheet of white snow just as the bride and groom had been hoping for when they chose their winter wedding date.

Thank you to Jenn and Mike for having us capture your beautiful day, State Room Boston and the amazing team at Hopple Popple!

We always love having the opportunity to capture a wedding in Newport, Rhode Island, and the Belle Mer is one of our favorite Newport venues. Located on a small island right off the coast of the mainland, it offers a spectacular seaside view and plenty of unique spaces for all aspects of a wedding day.

The modern and Miami Chic venue allows for a lot of creativity when bringing in lights, flowers, colors and decor. The couple chose a palette of pink, purple, white and silver for their wedding reception, with soft uplighting giving a colorful romantic feel. The tables were topped with a mixture of white and pink submerged flowers and towering white arrangements adorned with hanging crystals. Floating white candles in crystal holders were scattered around the room, and small pink candles added pops of color.

We loved the style and decor of this wedding and are excited to have been able to photograph it for the happy newlyweds! Congratulations!

For this particular wedding, the weather was perfect for an outdoor ceremony on the Belle Mer’s lawn. White and pink rose petals covered the aisle in lieu of a traditional runner, and the ceremony was set up directly overlooking the bay.

The gorgeous place card table wowed guests at the entrance with a large floral arrangement filled with white (and a touch of pink) orchids that hung from the branches along with strings of crystals.

Each cupcake on the tower was wrapped in silver and decorated with pink flowers inspired by the floral arrangements. To top that off, a scattering of edible disco dust for that extra shimmer was added to the cupcakes.
