Local event rental company Peterson Party Center loves showcasing the talent of all the Boston vendors they get to work with! Every month, they select a team of Boston wedding professionals to put together a gorgeous table — their “Table of the Month”, which we were thrilled to be able to photograph.

This December, event planner Edna Dratch-Parker of EFD Creative teamed with Jeri Solomon Floral Design and Megan Chapin Calligraphy to put together this picturesque winter-themed table! The designers were able to browse Peterson’s new showroom and use anything they wanted to create their masterpiece.

This table combined deep red linens with festive chargers for a bold, elegant look. Snowflake details on each place setting and a towering ice-inspired centerpiece tied together the winter theme, perfect for the month of December. “I was going for a classic and elegant holiday theme with a bit of sparkle!” – Edna

Thank you to Peterson Party Center and all the talented Boston wedding professionals who helped put this table together, we love being able to photograph your stunning work!

Stephanie and James wanted to keep the feeling of “old world” early Boston alive at their beautiful Downtown Boston wedding which included two historic buildings.

The day began at the Omni Parker House, a building that has been around since the 1850’s, right in the heart of Downtown Boston. Stephanie got dressed and ready in the hotel with her friends and family, with a funky pair of custom blue wedding shoes completing her outfit! In the meantime James was preparing for the day with his own group, and although the couple didn’t see each other before the ceremony, they did exchange wedding day cards to each other.

The next stop was the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston’s South End, another historic 1850’s building, for the catholic ceremony. This cathedral definitely has an old-world Boston feel — with high vaulted ceilings and lots of stained glass, it always makes for great pictures. We stuck around the church after the ceremony for a few pictures with the newlyweds and their wedding party before heading back to the Omni Parker House for the party.

The reception took place in the Omni’s Rooftop Ballroom, looking colorful and elegant with classic white table settings and pink and purple uplighting. Everyone was happy to celebrate well into the night with the newlyweds!

Congratulations to Stephanie and James, we had a blast sharing this day with you!

This year we were thrilled to attend as well as photograph their holiday party at the Exchange Conference Center. Below are just a few images from this beautiful event.

Edna Dratch-Parker owner of EFD Creative who helped plan and design the event described it perfectly on her blog- “We were looking to develop a soft wintery scene, along with the creative talent of Tangerine Creations, birch trees, moss, twinkle lights in the branches and hanging from the ceiling, helped create the mystical feel. Add in the white textured fabric, special touches of snowflake name badges collaborated by Table Artistry and Megan Chapin Calligraphy and the look was complete. DJ Raffi not only added in the holiday music, but the large moving pictures on the wall along with all the lighting…you had to see it in person to experience the energy it added to the party. A big thank you goes to East Meets West Catering, desserts by Party Favors, Peterson Party Center, Rentals Unlimited, and of course Lauren Killian of Person + Killian Photography…thank you for allowing us to share the beauty of the night!”

Kerry and Kurt live in China so they got a chance to stop by the Person + Killian studio when they were in town choosing all their vendors for their Hampshire House Boston wedding! They had a busy weekend of meetings and found the time to meet with us! On the referral of their wedding planner Edna Dratch-Parker (EFD Creative – Event Planning & Design), they came to our office and Lauren instantly loved them. Both seemed to be easy going, full of expression and obviously in love! They were so enjoyable to meet and we knew they would be a pleasure to work with.

The small intimate wedding was held at the lovely Hampshire House on Boston’s Beacon Hill and the couple chose a snowflake theme. They incorporated blue, ice and silver throughout the elegant affair.

A big thank you to Edna for being so fantastic to work with. You certainly put together a beautiful affair and we were honored to be a part of it! Congratulations to Kerry & Kurt and thank you for trusting P+K to document this important day!
