Courtney and Kurt’s Four Seasons Hotel Boston Wedding was a gorgeous autumn event with a vintage and classic feel. Purple, white and silver colors with birch and organic fall decor was the bride’s inspiration, and the Four Seasons Hotel was the perfect venue to make her unique vision a reality. Courtney’s 1920’s engagement ring and Amy Kuschel lace cap sleeve wedding gown were gorgeous details that added to this classic affair.

The couple got ready at the Four Seasons and we were able to capture their special first look atop the grand staircase under a stunning crystal chandelier. We were joined by the wedding party and continued taking photographs around the hotel before the intimate wedding ceremony. The bride’s deep purple bouquet of orchids from Winston’s matched perfectly with her bridesmaids dresses, and these stunning floral selections continued throughout the night.

The Stuart Room was transformed for the ceremony with pine trees, birch, ivory hydrangeas and delicate moss. The aisle was lined with white rose petals which highlighted the warmth and romance of this special event. Following the ceremony, guests headed to the Aujourd’hui room to begin celebrating with the newlyweds. Unique botanical touches including pinecones, birch bark and purple floral centerpieces combined with the spectacular lighting by Suzanne B. Lowell made the room come to life with an aura of elegant simplicity and distinctively classic New England flair.

During the reception the couple shared their first dance and enjoyed a classic three tier white wedding cake. This Four Seasons Boston Wedding was truly a classic stunner with beautiful blooms from Winston’s, inspiring and unique vintage decor and this wonderful couple and their guests. Thank you Robyn Yee and the entire team at The Four Seasons for being so wonderful to work with. Congratulations Courtney and Kurt!

Suzanne + Alex celebrated their beautiful InterContinental Hotel Boston fall wedding with a traditional Jewish ceremony and lots of bright autumn colors.

The couple put a twist on the traditional first look by standing back-to-back behind the bridal suite door. After coming around and looking at each other, they took the opportunity to practice their first dance before heading downstairs for pictures.

The InterContinental is a great backdrop for formal photographs. Their location, in the heart of Downtown Boston is perfect for city shots, and the beautiful Rose Kennedy Greenway across the street was full of Autumn foliage for a great backdrop. We love that Suzanne’s orange bouquet matched perfectly with the fall trees. After taking pictures with the family and wedding party, we took the couple to the back of the hotel, located right along the Boston Harbor for some waterfront photos.

Following the traditional Jewish Ketubah signing, the wedding ceremony took place inside one of the venues ballrooms. The ceremony was warm and intimate, with soft candlelight and an ornately decorated Chuppah covered in Fall berries and deep red roses. The reception was inspired by deep fall colors of red, orange, and purple, matching perfectly the InterContinental’s third floor ballroom. The floral centerpieces were offset by textured silver linens, and the lights on the center of the dance floor were custom designed for Suzanne and Alex with the newlyweds initials.

All the guests were ready to celebrate this adorable couple well into the night, and Suzanne even got a personal serenade from Alex and all his friends! Congratulations to the happy newlyweds, we had a blast sharing this day with you!

The Crane Estate in Ipswich, MA is one of our favorite summertime wedding venues, the rolling green hills and seaside feel are perfect for a July or August wedding. But it can also be a perfect venue for a beautiful Autumn wedding, as we saw this October with Wisam and Jack.

Wisam and Jack celebrated their wedding on a perfect October day at the Crane Estate, it was beautiful with not a cloud in the sky. The look and feel of the wedding was driven by two things — the couple’s love of books and reading, and the color inspiration of orange and grey, which was seen in details throughout the evening. Wisam carried a gorgeous Autumn-inspired bouquet of bright orange and red flowers, mixed with cool grey berries and leaves to match the decor. The ceremony took place outside on the Crane Estate’s sweeping half-mile lawn, with a beautiful view of the ocean behind the couple as they said their I dos.

The reception was warm, intimate, and modern, with great little details that really made the night special, thanks to the couples wedding planner Paula Marrero of Marrero Events. The grey and orange color inspiration popped up everywhere, from the grey linens topped with orange bouquets, to the grey and orange printed escort cards, to classic grey drink straws tied with orange ribbon. The details also reflected the couple’s reading theme, with small stacks of books on each table and table numbers printed on book pages.

When we asked our good friend Paula Marrero for her thoughts on the details and feel of the event this is what she had to say: With Wisam & Jack we tried to represent both of their personalities, using vintage book stacks, antique milk glass, and a strong color palette of persimmon orange and charcoal gray. The contrast between the vibrant shades of orange, the solid and prominent gray tones, the textured milk glass, and the gently weathered books complimented the architecture of this old New England estate.

The celebration lasted well into the night, with great food, fun, and even a special performance from Sabrina the belly dancer! Congratulations Wisam and Jack on a beautiful Autumn wedding, we loved being able to capture this day with you. Also a big thank you to Paula Marrero for being so lovely to work with!

Jill Person and Laurén Killian can be reached via email at [email protected] and [email protected] or via phone at 617.236.1662 and are located at 251 Newbury Street in Boston and on Bellevue Ave in Newport, RI

Person + Killian Photography was pleasantly surprised to be hired for Dominique and Ryan’s big day just a few weeks prior to their Boston wedding at The Liberty Hotel this October. The couple’s plans to take formal wedding photos at the Boston Public Garden were changed due to the weather, but the alternative was nothing short of breathtaking!

Thanks to Michelle Poulin and the staff at The Liberty Hotel, the entire wedding party was given the use of the exclusive “Ebersol Suite” on the 16th floor of the hotel for formal photographs. It is no doubt that the view from the suite’s balcony is one of the most stunning sights in all of Boston! Jill had the pleasure of photographing the couple while taking advantage of the spectacular sunset overlooking both the Boston and Cambridge skylines.

Person + Killian Photography had a fantastic time being the exclusive wedding photographers at Jen and Tom’s Boston Wedding! Jen, who wore a dazzling dress by Lazaro from Kleinfeld, was truly stunning! Below is a sneak peek at a few special moments from their beautiful wedding day at the Mandarin Oriental.

Jen, an interior designer, enhanced the modern ambience of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel by mixing romantic deep blue, black and white hues to her reception. The décor, which included a sleek, black dance floor and white Lanterns were amazing! The whole evening was classic and modern, we loved how the bridesmaid’s pink bouquets added a pop of color to the whole event! Florist Gerry St. Jean created beautiful floral arrangements that were charming accent pieces to the fabulous linens and décor from Rentals Unlimited.

A big thank you to Tom + Jen for including P+K in your fabulous day. We are so glad we could be a part of it! As always it was such a pleasure working with everyone at the Mandarin Oriental Boston.
