Person + Killian Photography recently captured the wedding of Caitlin and Jeff at the Mandarin Oriental Boston. The first look for the bride and groom took place in the private outdoor Sitting Grove just outside the hotel followed by some fun and casual photos of the wedding party. The couple celebrated with a traditional Jewish ceremony in the Oriental Ballroom after their Ketubah signing.

The reception was inspired by Caitlin’s favorite colors (red and purple) and a touch of the couple’s hometown tradition that they incorporated in the table names.

After dinner, dancing and cake cutting, the dance floor was officially opened with the Hora. Thank you to Caitlin and Jeff for being so fun to work with and congratulations on a beautiful wedding day!

Person + Killian Photography recently photographed the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston wedding of  Andrea and Adam. The day began in the beautiful Presidential Suite of  the hotel where the bride got ready overlooking Copley Square. The suite made for the perfect location for the “first look”.

Before heading back to the hotel we made a quick stop outside Copley Square for a few shots on the steps of the Boston Public Library and some fun shots with Boston landmarks Trinity Church and the John Hancock tower in the background.

Prior to the ceremony, the couple signed the Ketubah and were surrounded by their closest family and friends before heading into the Grand Ballroom.

The ballroom ceremony was spectacular with the floral covered chuppah and the blush lighting.

Earlier this month, Person + Killian Photography had the pleasure of photographing the Boston Harbor Hotel wedding of Nina + Sam. Nina and her bridesmaids got ready at the bride’s home while Sam and the groomsmen geared up for the day at the Boston Harbor Hotel where the reception took place later that evening.

The first look for the couple took place down the grandiose isle of Boston’s Cathedral of the Holy Cross where Nina and Sam exchanged their vows.

After a few photos with the wedding party and the newlyweds, it was off the Boston Harbor Hotel for some formal and fun waterfront pictures before heading into the Wharf Room to celebrate with dinner and dancing.

We loved the summer colors of the centerpieces by Winston Flowers and the “LOVE” cake created for the couple by Cakes To Remember.

Congratulations Nina and Sam and thank you for choosing Person + Killian Photography to capture your beautiful Boston wedding day!

We always enjoy photographing at Boston’s historical Omni Parker House and Elissa and Chris’s spring wedding was certainly no exception! Following their ceremony and some formal photos in the Press Room, we headed outside for a few photos at the Old City Hall across the street. The location in the heart of Dowtown Boston is perfect for getting great city shots, as well as shots in front of lots of historic Boston areas!

The reception was held in the Rooftop Ballroom where all of the guests had a blast dancing to The Rock Daddy’s. The room was decorated in classic colors of black and white — white ballroom chairs were wrapped with black ribbons, black napkins were paired with stark white linens, and the classic white tiered wedding cake was accented with black ribbon decoration. Tall floral white centerpieces with illuminated crystal vases were a great accent to all of the tables!

Thank you so much to Elissa and Chris for choosing Person + Killian Photography to capture your wedding day and for being an absolute pleasure to work with!

Daniel and Jane held their intimate ballroom wedding at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Boston. This winter affair was filled with their closest friends and family, and Person + Killian Photography was delighted to be there.

The couple chose the colors black, green and white to be incorporated throughout the wedding. This beautiful color scheme was scattered among their bouquets, arrangements, décor, details and modern candy bar.

A big thank you to Dan, Jane and the entire Mandarin Oriental staff for being so lovely to work with.

As 2010 comes to a close, we wanted to share one more Person + Killian wedding from the end of this year. Sarah and Scott loved the Boston Harbor Hotel and knew it would be the perfect place to exchange their vows.

Both the ceremony and reception took place in the Wharf Room. The décor was inspired by the lights on Boston Harbor that can be seen from the room at night and the warmth of the holiday season.  Their wedding cake was simple and elegant — a white 3-teired cake topped with gorgeous red orchids for a pop of color. For the newlyweds, this was the perfect evening as they were “surrounded by family, close friends and the spirit of celebration”.

Below are just a few of our favorite photographs from the day. This was an amazing group of people and it was a pleasure capturing all of the emotional and fun-filled moments for such a wonderful couple.  Congratulations Sarah and Scott!

Allyson & Brian’s winter wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel was certainly filled with holiday cheer and Person +Killian Photography loved being there.

The wedding was a buzz with Christmas inspiration and ideas. Ally and her mom along with the talented Tori of Winston Flowers thought of it all! The beautiful festive décor, human nutcrackers and singing carolers added a cheerful element to this romantic winter wedding.

A big thank you to Ally, her mom and of course Brian (Cush) for being such a pleasure to work with! Happy holidays to you and your family.

The Boston Harbor Hotel is one of our favorite wedding venues, so it was great to end the season there! As the season was winding down, it was great for Person + Killian Photography to be back at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Boston for Allison and Matt’s wedding.

Allison wore a stunning Carolina Herrera dress and carried an ivory bouquet of orchids down the isle at Back Bay’s Our Lady of Victories Church. After the ceremony it was back to the Mandarin where we had a chance to take some photos of the newlyweds in just a few of the hotels picturesque locations. The reception décor, which the bride described as “Simple yet elegant” was complete with the venue’s custom linens and centerpieces by Winston Flowers.

Congratulations Allison and Matt! We had a pleasure capturing your beautiful wedding day. And as always, it was great working with such a wonderful group of people at the Mandarin.

Ryan & Chris hired some of Boston’s best wedding vendors to put together a beautiful elegant wedding that had a classic & romantic feel. Taj Boston was the perfect venue to host this intimate affair and Person + Killian Photography was delighted to be there!

When we asked Ryan to described the details of her day she said the following:

Chris and I are going for a classical romantic elegant look and feel to our wedding day. The bridesmaids will be in black, short dresses and the groomsmen in tuxes. Our flowers will be shades of white. Since most of our guests will be traveling to Boston from out of town, we have incorporated the old Bostonian look and feel throughout the weekend. Starting with the rehearsal dinner in the Library Room of the Hampshire House, carrying through to the cocktail hour where we will be having freshly shucked local oysters. We are taking out many of the traditional elements of a wedding and making it more of a party for all!

Some of the traditions they changed up a bit were really cute! Her father introduced the couple for the first time and the bride and groom introduced the entire wedding party! Also, Ryan’s last minute something blue was her bridesmaid’s all initialing the bottom of her Jimmy Choo in blue marker!

A big thank to Ryan and Chris for choosing Person + Killian Photography to document this beautiful Boston Wedding!

Person + Killian always love an opportunity to photograph at The Liberty Hotel in Boston. Recently, we had the chance to once again take advange of this great setting for Rachel and Mason’s wedding.

Rachel’s bridesmaids wore spiced wine dresses while Mason, his groomsmen and groomswoman had matching ties and purple Chucks to accent their charcoal suits. In keeping with the fall color scheme, the couple had burnt orange linens, and fall inspired apothecary jars for centerpieces for their reception.

All of the vendors for this event were coordinated by Janie Haas Events. Thank you Janie for sending this wonderful couple our way. Rachel and Mason were great to work with, and we really had a blast capturing their special day!

Talk about kicking off a season in style! Person + Killian Photography recently had a blast at Regina & John’s autumn wedding at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.

The festivities began at the bride’s home in South Boston, where the wedding party got ready. Kerry Roberts was chosen to create Regina’s simple, yet elegant hairstyle, and for her makeup, the bride turned to Julianne Saunders.

After donning her beautiful Pronovias wedding gown, it was off to the Gate of Heaven Church (also in South Boston) for the ceremony. Needless to say, the magnificent cathedral provided more than a handful of stunning photo-ops.

Before heading to the reception, we had two important stops to make: the first, at the Boston Public Garden for some formals, and the second, at the Broadway Fire House for some adorable pictures of the bride and groom. John is a Boston firefighter, so we were thrilled to be able to incorporate that into their photos.

(We also LOVE that Regina wasn’t afraid to get into the front seat of his ladder truck, despite being in that gorgeous gown!)

The reception was held at Boston’s Park Plaza Hotel. While the richly adorned grand ballroom gave the event an air of majesty, it was the couple’s family and friends (many of whom flew in from Ireland!) that made the evening truly special.

(The traditional Irish dancing was a nice treat, too!)

Person + Killian Photography would like to send a shout out to Abby Power, the fabulous event coordinator for the Park Plaza. We would also like to thank the wonderful couple, Regina & John, for choosing Person + Killian. It truly was a pleasure to work with you. Congratulations!

This past weekend, Person + Killian Photography was delighted to be present at the glamorous InterContinental Hotel wedding of Nicole Melino and Christopher Ponzo. For those of you who don’t know, this Boston couple was recently featured on Boston Hearts Weddings as part of the site’s Blogging the Bride project. The project follows the couple through all of the major stages of wedding planning, and it includes everything from their engagement story to their menu selection – not to mention all of the details in between!

The bride looked stunning in a strapless gown from L’élite Bridal Boutique, and makeup artist Katrina Hess helped her achieve the beautifully classic, yet modern look that complemented the gown so well.

Not only was it a treat to work with such a wonderful couple, but also, we had the opportunity to work with some of Boston’s most esteemed wedding vendors.

Tangorra Wedding Planning worked with the bride and groom throughout the planning process to coordinate the details, and on the big day, planners Francie and Megan were there to make sure nothing was forgotten.

Along with Person + Killian Photography, Jason and Jim from Boston Wedding Films were there to capture the day in its entirety.

The reception was held at Boston’s luxurious InterContinental Hotel. Thanks to the hotel’s fabulous location, guests were treated to striking views of both the city skyline and the waterfront. In fact, the venue afforded a perfect view for the celebratory fireworks display.

We want to thank Paul Melino of InterContinental Hotel (who also happens to be the uncle of the beautiful bride) for referring Person + Killian Photography to the couple. Not only did we enjoy working with the hotel, but we also had a wonderful time photographing the couple throughout their whole planning process. Congratulations, Nicole and Christopher!
