Get ready for an honest and perfectly accurate description of this couple’s vision for their Fall wedding at the Dane Estate. We wanted it to be “Fall & Autumn feels, without pumpkins in your face” — that’s what grooms Chuck and Justin said, and that’s exactly what they got! They achieved their subtle autumnal vibes with classic steel grey, pops of deep burgundy red, and a gorgeous New England venue.

After getting ready at the Hotel Indigo, Chuck and Justin posed for formal photos outside in the Boston Public Garden. We got lucky with beautiful Fall foliage, and were joined by the couple’s wedding party of four groomsmen. The rest of the day’s events took place at the Dane Estate, which feels worlds away but is actually not too far from downtown in Boston’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood.

We continued with formal photos of the couple outside on the Dane Estate grounds before moving inside for the wedding ceremony. The interior of the Dane Estate is full of rich wooden floors, walls, and detailing — the perfect vibe for this Fall wedding day. For the evening reception, classic white was mixed with burgundy and a few orange and yellow Autumn details for a very whimsical and intimate celebration.

Above everything else, what we loved most about this wedding day was the fun, loving, and relaxed vibe of Chuck and Justin. Everyone was excited to celebrate with this truly wonderful couple, and we were honored to be a part of it!

Marissa and Zach celebrated their Fall Boston wedding at the beautiful Boston Park Plaza, right in the heart of downtown. An institution for over 90 years, the Boston Park Plaza recently underwent a massive restoration and renovation, making all of their event spaces even more stunning than they were before.

Marissa and Zach stayed at the Boston Park Plaza for all of the day’s events, minus a quick trip across the street to the Boston Public Garden for the couple’s first look. They were married in a traditional Jewish ceremony which included the signing of the Ketubah, the wedding ceremony underneath a gorgeous white chuppah, and the evening celebration.

The couple took full advantage of the venue and the surrounding areas, and we loved how they incorporated fall colors of gold and dark cranberry red into the details of their day. Friends, family, and guests were so happy to be there to celebrate with this wonderful couple, the night ended with food, drinks, laughter, and a packed dance floor!

Thank you to Marissa and Zach for letting us be a part of your Fall Boston wedding, we enjoyed every minute of it. Mazel tov!

We are so lucky to work in an industry where our friends and colleagues can introduce us to such wonderful new brides and grooms. This fantastic couple came to us by way of Jodi Raphael, whose team at Jodi Raphael Events was already planning a gorgeous and modern wedding day for Amanda and Zach. Though they currently live in New York City, Amanda and Zach decided to come back to Amanda’s hometown of Boston for their fall wedding celebration.

The couple chose the newly renovated Boston Marriott Long Wharf for their venue, and began their wedding day in the suites getting ready. To contrast the classic white of the wedding, they chose accents of navy blue in the bridesmaid dresses, Zach’s suit jacket, and Amanda’s blue high heels. The couple met in Columbus Park right next to the Marriott for their first look, and we took them around the park and out to the waterfront for formal photos. The wedding party joined us in Columbus Park for group shots, then it was back to the Boston Marriott Long Wharf to begin the ceremony.

The couple was married in a traditional Jewish ceremony which began with the signing of the Ketubah in front of an intimate group of family and friends. Then it was into the Marriott Long Wharf Ballroom for the ceremony itself, which took place under a gorgeous white floral chuppah with soft purple lighting and candles lining the aisle. Guests moved to the Palm Garden room for cocktails following the ceremony, while the Ballroom was transformed for the evening reception. The team at Jodi Raphael Events pulled out all the stops for this elegant and modern celebration, which featured an eclectic mix of round, square, and rectangular dining tables, towering white floral centerpieces in silver vessels, and hundreds of soft candles throughout the room. Amanda and Zach had quite a crowd to share in their celebration, over 325 guests, and everyone was excited to get the party started!

We were so thrilled to be there to share this day with Amanda, Zach, and all of their friends and family. Special thanks to the Boston Marriott Long Wharf, and to the team at Jodi Raphael Events for a beautiful event and for sending this wonderful couple our way. Mazel Tov Amanda and Zach!

This elegant summer wedding at the Four Seasons Boston was described by the bride as “formal fun”. Floral designer Carol Silverston went above and beyond with the gorgeous flowers and elegant decor, while the bride and groom’s infectious laughter and fun demeanor kept the energy of the entire day light and carefree.

Lauren and Ian both started their day in the Four Seasons Boston getting ready, before meeting on the hotel’s Grand Staircase for their first look. We took a short walk across the street to the Boston Public Garden for some photos with the couple before heading back to the Four Seasons for group pictures with the entire wedding party. For this traditional Jewish wedding, Lauren and Ian had a Ketubah signing before beginning the wedding ceremony. Lauren’s uncle officiated both ceremonies, keeping the bride and groom (and all of their guests) laughing and smiling the entire time. The wedding ceremony was held in the Four Seasons Governors Room under an elegant white Chuppah, where Lauren and Ian officially became husband and wife.

The Four Seasons Boston Ballroom was transformed by Carol Silverston and her team for the evening reception. Colors of classic white and dark blue were used throughout the day’s events, from the bridesmaid’s dresses through the cocktail hour decor, and this theme was continued into the evening. Carol used a beautiful mix of white linens, crystal chairs, modern glass-top tables, and white floral centerpieces with accents of dark blue in the Ballroom. An all-white dance floor and silver accents really made this event pop, and Lauren and Ian were blown away when they walked in for the first time.

Beyond the gorgeous decor, what really stood out about this wedding was the smiles and laughter that filled the entire day. Lauren and Ian performed a choreographed dance to kick off the reception (after only one night of practice) and guests packed the dance floor non-stop for the rest of the night. We were so happy to be here to celebrate this wonderful couple, special thanks to Lauren and Ian, Philip Deschamps and his team at the Four Seasons, and to Carol Silverston!

Amanda and Paul’s Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston wedding was special for so many reasons — the fun and beautiful couple, the gorgeous decor, the spectacular venue. On top of all of that, we got to reconnect with two of our recent P+K couples (Samantha + Bobby and Erika + Jimmy) who are friends with the bride and groom! This means we got to spend lots of time with Amanda and Paul before their wedding day, which made it even more special when we got to see these two become husband and wife.

Amanda described the vision for her wedding day as “summer glamour . . . a luxurious modern twist on modern elegance”. They chose a color palette of rose gold, blush, lilac, white and gold — a perfect compliment to the Fairmont Copley Plaza’s elegant decor. Paul and his groomsmen were joined by the couple’s dog Bandit while they got ready for the day (we got to meet Bandit last year at Amanda and Paul’s engagement session). Once they were ready, the bride and groom met outside the Fairmont for their first look and formal photos around the hotel and Copley Square with their wedding party. We had time for a few more photos with the couple inside the Fairmont before moving into the Fairmont Copley Plaza Grand Ballroom for the ceremony.

Amanda and Paul were married underneath a stunning floral chuppah from Marc Hall Designs. The aisle was lined with towering white floral arrangements on mirrored pedestals and the couple said their “I do”s in a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony. While guests enjoyed cocktails following the ceremony, the Grand Ballroom was transformed for the evening reception. Soft purple lighting, a custom “A&P” light monogram, white and lilac floral arrangements and a touch of gold made for an absolutely stunning celebration.

It was a real treat for us to reconnect with so many of our recent couples and make new memories with Amanda and Paul. And nothing beats working with such a great team of our industry friends, including SH Videography, Marc Hall Design and of course Alice Fay and her incredible team at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston. Thank you to all of you for such a memorable evening!

For Kristen and Keith, the most important thing at their InterContinental Boston Spring Wedding was that all of their family and friends smiled, laughed, danced, and had a good time. They certainly got their wish, and so much more, on their gorgeous wedding weekend.

This wedding was a beautiful mix of classic, elegant, and colorfully modern. Kristen wanted their wedding day to be pink and silver, with touches of navy blue and as much sparkle as possible. The bodice of her wedding dress featured sparkly silver detailing, and she carried a bright pink bouquet of roses. Bridesmaids matched in pale pink sparkling dresses, and Keith and his groomsmen wore navy blue suits. The entire wedding party got ready for the day at the InterContinental Boston before heading to the new Shrine of Our Lady of Good Voyage, which happened to be directly across the water from the InterContinental Boston and was celebrating their own one year anniversary on that very same weekend.

Following the church wedding ceremony, the couple drove off as happy newlyweds in a classic white Rolls Royce. We met up with the whole wedding party back at the InterContinental Boston for some formal photos in the Rose Kennedy Greenway across the street from the hotel, then took the couple out to the waterfront for some photos along the harbor. Kristen and Keith got a sneak peek of the InterContinental Boston ballroom, which featured gorgeous pink and white floral centerpieces, a classic white dance floor, sparkling silver linens, and an arrangement of sparkling lights dangling from the ceiling above it all. The couple added so many wonderful personal touches to their wedding day, including photos of their dog featured on each of the table numbers and a donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of the bride’s brother (he’s the one dressed as a giant dinosaur on the dance floor)!

At the end of the day, Kristen and Keith got to see their wedding dreams come true as guests danced, laughed, and celebrated this wonderful couple all night. Both the band and DJ from Entertainment Specialists kept the dance floor packed, and friends and family were so happy to be there to celebrate with the bride and groom.

When asked to describe their vision for their wedding day, Brianna and Edwin said: “We wanted the night to feel glamorous and modern, but also timeless”. Their choice of the Taj Boston Rooftop was the perfect location for this intimate event — and they took full advantage of everything the space has to offer!

The entire day’s events took place at the Taj Boston, with both bride and groom getting ready inside the hotel before heading outside for formal photos. The Boston Public Garden is situated right across the street from the Taj, so it was a quick walk to get out into the park. We started with just Brianna and Edwin alone, taking advantage of the beautiful greenery and fall trees just starting to turn orange. We were soon joined by the wedding party, who kept with the elegant monochromatic theme of the evening in simple black dresses and tuxes with white bouquets for the ladies.

We headed back to the hotel for the late afternoon ceremony, which took place up on Taj Boston Rooftop. The intimate gathering of friends and family watched Brianna and Edwin become husband and wife, overlooking the beautiful city 17 stories below. As the sun set over the skyline, the Taj Boston Rooftop was transformed for the evening reception.

Brianna and Edwin wanted to keep with the monochromatic color palette of the rooftop (with its black and white checkerboard floor), and accent with colors of gold and champagne for a modern and elegant touch. Guests were seated at two long banquet tables with white linens, black chiavari chairs, and black vases holding gorgeous white bouquets. Even the cake was an elegant black and white, topped with an image of the Boston skyline that was also used on their wedding invitations. They even made sure to include homages to Brianna’s infamous love of champagne and roses, with white roses in all of the floral arrangements and small bottles of champagne given out as a favor at the end of the night.

This Taj Boston wedding was perfectly elegant, modern, and romantic. Brianna and Edwin really allowed their celebration to be a reflection of their love and their unique relationship, and we were so happy to be there to share it with them!

We see a lot of beautiful things in our line of work; this Four Seasons Hotel Boston Wedding with Marc Hall Design is exquisite. The couple, Liz and Mike, wanted a beautiful affair that had an air of ease and intimacy. Starting the day in a suite at the Four Seasons, Liz was in full swing getting ready. Mike was likewise prepping in his room where friends and family popped by for a quick hello before he dressed to meet his bride.

With such a beautiful day, we headed over to the Boston Public Gardens to capture the First Look. Surrounded by the abundant greenery the gardens have to offer, we took this time to capture some formals before heading back to the hotel to wrap up the wedding party formals.

The Grand Ballroom was transformed with an archway full of gorgeous, lush blooms in shades of whites and creams for the ceremony. Liz’s brother officiated as the couple exchanged vows in the presence of their loved ones. After the ceremony, we made our way to the Aujourd’hui Room for cocktail hour while the Grand Ballroom underwent another transformation.

First to greet the guests was an escort card table in the round. A magnificent floral display of roses and orchids accented with candles. Between the lighting, linens and beautiful centerpieces, the reception space felt sophisticated with warm tones of creams, blushes and gold. As the evening progressed, it was clear that the couple and their guests was enjoying themselves. From the decident dessert display and fun photo booth to the packed dance floor, what’s not to love?

Thank you Liz and Mike for letting Person + Killian be a part of this beautiful day! As always a big thank you to Philip Deschamps for being an absolute joy to work with.

Holding a special place in their heart, Lisa and Joey’s classic Fairmont Copley Plaza wedding showcased Boston and the city they live in and love. We began the day at the Fairmont where preparations were in full swing.  The ladies were enjoying themselves in the bridal suite while the gentlemen prepped nearby.

The couple opted to do their First Look in the front of the hotel in the heart of Copley Square. The anticipation on both of their faces is very sweet and such fun to capture. We love these shots of them enjoying a few private minutes before heading over to the ceremony location. Built in 1888, Saint Cecelia’s Parish is rich in history and offers gorgeous light with high ceilings. Joey’s brother sang during the catholic ceremony making for a touching moment. Immediately after the ceremony we captured the full wedding party formals, moving from the church back to Copley Square.

Lisa and Joey’s love for all things Boston was evident with lovely details throughout the reception; from the guest book and olive oil favors to the table names of their favorite Boston stops. Soft uplighting and vibrant centerpieces added to the romance and warmth of the space. After dinner, the DJ jammed the dance floor and the guests partied into the night.

Thank you, L & J! We loved being a part of your wedding day!  Thank you to the amazing staff at the Fairmont Copley Plaza and all the fabulous vendors we worked with on this wedding.

Earlier this month we had the pleasure of working with Jen and Adam for their State Room Boston Wedding. The team at Janie Haas Events worked with the couple to create the perfect day that was exactly what the couple had asked for “a rustic, whimsical classic look that is also fun and very us.”

The couple both got ready in their suites just across the street from the State Room at the Ames Boston Hotel. For the first look and photos with the wedding party, we headed around the corner to Post Office Square (one of our favorite spots in Downtown Boston to photograph). Before heading into 60 State Street, we had some time for a few more photographs of the couple on the back patio overlooking Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. The traditional Jewish ceremony took place in the Cityside Room of the State Room under a custom branch chuppah accented with cream rose petals and pillar candles in large hurricane vases.

Jen and Adam wanted to bring the outdoors inside for their wedding reception which was a big reason they chose the Great Room at the State Room Boston. In addition to the floor to ceiling windows, the couple added bistro lights that were strung from the balcony across the dance floor. Wooden farm tables were mixed with rounds topped in cream linen. Classic tall arrangements paired perfectly with the candlelight, succulent plants, a variety of cream and green flowers and driftwood.

From Janie Haas: “Jennie wanted the organic beauty of nature brought into the urban setting of the State Room. Jennie had a specific lighting vision in mind that we had never before done at the State Room due to the challenge of no rigging points on the high ceiling. Alexandra Bombard from ALPS was a genius! She found the perfect way to create a canopy over the dance floor with Bistro lights and it changed the entire ambiance of the space. The light canopy brought down the ceiling height which, in turn, made the space feel so warm, elegant and cozy.”

We can not say enough about how much fun it was to work with Jen and Adam and are so thankful they chose to have us capture their beautiful wedding day this summer. A big congratulations to the newlyweds and thank you as always to Erica and her team at the State Room and to Janie Haas, Maria Simpson and their team at Janie Haas Events for introducing us to such a wonderful couple.

We recently had the pleasure of capturing Alex and Anthony’s summer Boston Public Library wedding. Alex and Anthony loved the grand architecture and dramatic scenery that the BPL has to offer. The day began at the Westin Copley where the ladies gathered to help Alex get ready for her First Look. Alex’s Amsale dress has the prettiest bow with amazing pockets. The ladies wore long, elegant gowns while the gentlemen were formal in black tuxedos with crisp pocket squares. The couple decided to have their First Look on the Grand Staircase where they had a few private moments before heading off to get some formal shots of the entire wedding party.

The Courtyard at the BPL is both lavish and bright and makes for an absolutely amazing ceremony location. Alex and Anthony exchanged vows, rings (and tears!) surrounded by their nearest and dearest. As we moved from cocktails in the Courtyard to Bates Hall, we snapped a large group shot of the newlyweds with all of their guests!

The reception was located in Bates Hall and filled with the romantic glow of the historic green lamps and twinkling candlelight. Alex and Anthony created a classic, clean palette of whites, creams and greens which lined the center of tables that felt timeless. The newlyweds love croquembouche and opted to serve it in place of a traditional wedding cake.  As the evening continued, Alex and Anthony converted the Abbey Room into a lounge filled with jeweled-tone uplights. The DJ kept the dance floor moving as the night moved from dinner to dancing.

Thank you to Alex and Anthony for trusting us to shoot your wedding.  Congratulations again – may your life together be as beautiful as your wedding!  Special thanks to the Boston Public Library and the expert staff at The Catered Affair.

This sophisticated summer State Room wedding is beautiful from top to bottom. Margarita and Steve wanted a traditional classic wedding that encompassed their style with some fun cultural highlights while showcasing the city they love. Working at the State Room, or any Longwood Venue, means there will be no shortage of scenery; the panoramic views, twenty foot ceilings and centralized location makes it quintessentially modern & chic.

We began this sunny summer day at the Intercontinental Hotel where loved ones traveled from far and wide to join the happy couple on their wedding weekend. Preparations for the day were underway and the bride and her family were enjoying some quality time in the bridal suite.  The ladies donned purple floor length gowns accented with bouquets hydrangea and roses in whites and creams.

Margarita’s dress is a Peter Langner Couture from L’elite Bridal in Boston and was paired with some amazing Christian Louboutin shoes. Her bouquet was filled with roses and phalaenopsis orchids. When it all comes together, beautiful is an understatement!

The First Look is often one of the most exciting and highly anticipated parts of the wedding day. We get caught up in the moment nearly every time and Margarita & Steve’s was as sweet as they come.  We took this time to capture some quiet moments and then grabbed the bridal party for some formals before heading over for the ceremony.

The Cathedral of the Holy Cross sits in the heart of Boston where the traditional catholic ceremony took place. Friends and family gathered as the couple exchanged vows in one of the oldest churches in the country.

As the guests headed to the State Room, we took this time to get some shots of the newlyweds at some of their favorite spots in Boston. Tia’s is where this couple met so we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to sneak a quick visit in before we went over to the State Room. Joining their cocktail hour, the happy couple got to enjoy cocktails and conversations with guests as a traditional Mariachi Band played creating a festive atmosphere.

The Great Room at the State Room feels like you are on top of the world with unparalleled views but Margarita and Steve still made it feel intimate. There are so many lovely details in this wedding – we could go on and on. From the monogram dance floor to the 5-tiered cake, the entire space was transformed. The gorgeous tablescapes with linens, chargers and, of course, the stunning flower arrangements. The centerpieces were an eclectic mix of different orchids paired with hydrangea in whites and creams;  the pinspot lighting on them almost made them look like they were floating. Everyone enjoyed an evening of toasts, dinner and dancing….tons of dancing!  The fabulous maracas that they gave as a favor got plenty of use.

Congratulations again Margarita and Steve! We loved being a part of your beautiful day and hope you love the highlights as much as we do!
