This sophisticated summer State Room wedding is beautiful from top to bottom. Margarita and Steve wanted a traditional classic wedding that encompassed their style with some fun cultural highlights while showcasing the city they love. Working at the State Room, or any Longwood Venue, means there will be no shortage of scenery; the panoramic views, twenty foot ceilings and centralized location makes it quintessentially modern & chic.

We began this sunny summer day at the Intercontinental Hotel where loved ones traveled from far and wide to join the happy couple on their wedding weekend. Preparations for the day were underway and the bride and her family were enjoying some quality time in the bridal suite.  The ladies donned purple floor length gowns accented with bouquets hydrangea and roses in whites and creams.

Margarita’s dress is a Peter Langner Couture from L’elite Bridal in Boston and was paired with some amazing Christian Louboutin shoes. Her bouquet was filled with roses and phalaenopsis orchids. When it all comes together, beautiful is an understatement!

The First Look is often one of the most exciting and highly anticipated parts of the wedding day. We get caught up in the moment nearly every time and Margarita & Steve’s was as sweet as they come.  We took this time to capture some quiet moments and then grabbed the bridal party for some formals before heading over for the ceremony.

The Cathedral of the Holy Cross sits in the heart of Boston where the traditional catholic ceremony took place. Friends and family gathered as the couple exchanged vows in one of the oldest churches in the country.

As the guests headed to the State Room, we took this time to get some shots of the newlyweds at some of their favorite spots in Boston. Tia’s is where this couple met so we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to sneak a quick visit in before we went over to the State Room. Joining their cocktail hour, the happy couple got to enjoy cocktails and conversations with guests as a traditional Mariachi Band played creating a festive atmosphere.

The Great Room at the State Room feels like you are on top of the world with unparalleled views but Margarita and Steve still made it feel intimate. There are so many lovely details in this wedding – we could go on and on. From the monogram dance floor to the 5-tiered cake, the entire space was transformed. The gorgeous tablescapes with linens, chargers and, of course, the stunning flower arrangements. The centerpieces were an eclectic mix of different orchids paired with hydrangea in whites and creams;  the pinspot lighting on them almost made them look like they were floating. Everyone enjoyed an evening of toasts, dinner and dancing….tons of dancing!  The fabulous maracas that they gave as a favor got plenty of use.

Congratulations again Margarita and Steve! We loved being a part of your beautiful day and hope you love the highlights as much as we do!

For Sarah and Brian’s Boston wedding, it was all about tradition and family. For instance, the couple chose the bride’s family church, Wellesley Village, as the location to exchange their wedding vows. The bride walked down the aisle in an elegant a-line ballgown by Pronovias with a pretty lace, illusion, neckline and matching fingertip length veil. Around her waist, a soft pink sash brought in the bride’s favorite color. Soft pink was also featured in her wedding bouquet, with blush roses, white calla lilies, ranunculus, and dusty miller leaves.

After the ceremony, guests went to the Four Season’s Hotel Boston for the wedding reception. The hotel had also hosted the bride’s parent’s own wedding reception there nearly thirty years before. Inspired by her parent’s wedding photos, we used the same staircase for the couple’s formal photos. Afterward, we had some fun capturing a few more casual photos of the couple.

At the reception, a seating card display greeted guests and showcased a large floral arrangement by Honey of Lotus Floral Events. Guest tables where set with elegant ivory lamour linens and decorated with lucite pillar candle holder and floral arrangements with hydrangea, blush roses, and stock. After dinner, Boston wedding band, Search Party, kicked off the dance party. And, at the end of the night, gingerbread men from The Yum Yum Shop served as both favors for the guest and as a late night snack.

Congratulations Sarah and Brian!  We loved capturing your classic Boston wedding. Thank you to coordinator Lynne Enos and to Philip and his team at the Four Seasons for always being a joy to work with.

Recently, we had the pleasure of photographing the State Room Boston summer wedding of Stephanie and David.  From the bride – “We are Boston. It is where we met (Scholar’s) and where we live (Southie). We wanted a personal wedding that was true to us and asked our close friend to marry us.” With sweeping views of the city, the State Room was the perfect location to showcase their beloved home town.

After getting ready at the nearby Langham Hotel, we walked across the street to picturesque Post Office Square. Waiting for the bride for their first look alongside Dave was their beloved dog Manny (who made an appearance at their engagement sessions earlier this year). Steph also wanted to incorporate her love for the color pink and went with a soft pink and grey color pallet for the day. As a surprise, the parents of the bride had the pink taxi from the Langham to drive the bride over to State Street.

The ceremony and reception took place in the Great Room where guests watched the sunset over the Boston Harbor as they enjoyed dinner and heartfelt toasts. Joey Scott and the Connection had the room dancing and celebrating for the rest of the evening. Congratulations Steph and Dave and thank you for being such a pleasure to work with on your beautiful day! Also a big thank you to the always amazing team at State Room Boston.

Ashley and Brian chose the Mandarin Oriental Boston for their recent destination wedding. The couple who live in Nevada hired local Boston designer  Eric Czerlonka of Czerlonka Event Design and Management to help bring their vision to life. The ceremony took place at The Cathedral of the Holy Cross followed by cocktail hour in the courtyard of the Mandarin. For the reception, the Oriental Ballroom was transformed by the talented team at the Mandarin, Eric and his team as well as the Marc Hall Design and Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting Design teams.

From Ashley and Brian – “Planning a destination wedding is as exciting as it is complex.  The single most important factor in its success is having expert and visionary people on your team who are trained in providing first class service at every entry point. The wedding day was chic and magical in every aspect, from the architectural flowers cascading on the tables to the modern décor.  With photos galore, we will always remember stopping traffic on Boylston Street for the perfect shot.  Sharing this most special day with our family and friends will hold a lifetime of memories.”

Eric worked with Ashley on helping to bring her vision to life for the reception. “Our goal was to create a room that was modern, sleek and sophisticated with a warm romantic feel.  We achieved this be setting the space with a combination of square mirrored tables and 36 foot long rectangular tables covered in custom silk linen.  The clean straight lines were softened with shades of white accents.  The room was was transformed by the magnificent contrasting tables installations created by Marc Hall Design and Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting Design lit the room perfectly bring all the pieces to life.”

Congratulations again Ashley and Brian and thank you for having us there to capture your beautiful destination wedding day here in New England! A big thank you as well do Donna and the team at the Mandarin, Eric and his team and to all of those who helped make this day so perfect for the newlyweds.

A gorgeous day and classic Back Bay location made for the perfect combination for Melissa + Peter’s Spring Taj Boston wedding. The bride and groom wanted a classic and traditional wedding throughout all the aspects of their big day, from the soft flowers, to the beautiful Church ceremony (which held extra special significance to Melissa), to the evening reception in the elegant Taj Boston Grand Ballroom.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Collage of the Holy Cross, St. Joseph Chapel, which is were Melissa went to school. The inside of the church was stunning, with a high domed ceiling and lots of colorful stained glass for a warm, intimate feeling. This beautiful catholic ceremony was filled with amazing music and the service was one of the most important elements to the evening for Melissa + Peter.

Coming out of the church after the “I do”s, the Spring weather was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t help but take a few photographs of the happy newlyweds on the steps of the chapel, before heading back to Boston. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour we took Melissa, Peter, and their wedding party over to the Boston Public Garden for some beautiful formals photographs.

The Ballroom was transformed into the classically elegant wedding reception Melissa had been dreaming of, with textured linens and gorgeous floral arrangements. The space was filled with rich, warm color, so the soft ivory flowers, and touches of gold were the perfect choice to enhance the natural elegance of the space without overwhelming it. Both the high and low floral arrangements were paired with candle votives, giving the room a warm romantic glow as soon as the sun started to set.

Thank you to the Taj Boston for being so lovely to work with and a big congratulations and thank you to Melissa + Peter for having us there to capture your beautiful Spring Taj Boston wedding celebration!

Max and Tarik’s winter wedding at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter was modern with an artistic twist! Located in the heart of South Boston, Artists for Humanity is a non-profit organization founded on providing children with an artistic outlet and creative entrepreneurship. The venue is perfect for any couple seeking a non-traditional flair!

After some finishing touches at The Langham Boston Max and her shimmering bridesmaids stopped in the Public Garden for outdoor formals (you can not go wrong with a 60 degree December day in New England!). We also captured some photographs of Tarik and his groomsmen in front of quintessential Boston brownstones near their South End home.

Max and Tarik’s heartfelt and joyous ceremony took place in front of the venues floor to ceiling glass garage door. It was officiated by a family friend and beautifully incorporated some of Tarik’s Turkish heritage through the traditional ribbon cutting ring ceremony.

Simplistically beautiful design included string lights and striking white backdrops with eye-catching splashes of reds, pinks, blues, and periwinkles. Sticking with their venue, Max and Tarik creatively wove art into their special day. Guests were provided with bright markers, paints, blank canvases, and a polaroid camera as they were invited to “make art and have fun” celebrating the newlyweds.

Friends and family danced the night away to live entertainment that included an incredible saxophone performance of “Uptown Funk” by the beautiful bride herself!

A special recognition to Gourmet Caterers for their flawless catering and event coordination. Our sincerest congratulations and appreciation to Max and Tarik –we are truly honored to have been a part of such a fun and joyous day!

Want to beautifully wrap luxury, elegance, and sophistication all up into one? Look no further because the talent of Czerlonka Event Design & Management and Marc Hall Design for Jenn and Michael’s wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Boston will be sure to wow.

Our sweet, head-over-heels in love couple, Jenn and Michael, pulled at everyone’s heartstrings during their beautiful traditional Jewish ceremony. The couple was joined under a Marc Hall custom-made birch chuppah bursting with cascading lush hydrangeas and orchids.

A softly sophisticated palate of ivory, cream, touches of blush, and silver and crystal accents of glamour transformed the Ritz ballroom into a simply dreamlike setting. From our gorgeous bride’s striking Marc Hall couture custom floor-length bouquet, to statement floral centerpieces, and a stunning 4-tiered cake of delicate floral piping, this wedding was one jaw-dropping beautiful detail after another.

A big thank you to Eric Czerlonka and Vanessa Michael and her team at the Ritz. Congratulations again Jenn and Michael. It was truly an honor documenting your special day and we wish you a lifetime full of love and happiness!

With the city near and dear to their hearts the simply stunning Katie and Barry wanted their fall wedding to have a classic Bostonian feel. Rich in luxury and tradition the Boston Omni Parker House was the perfect setting for their elegant affair.

Katie and Barry were surrounded by their fun loving family and friends for a sweet ceremony inside the breathtaking beauty of St. Mary – St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Charlestown.

We were enchanted by a delicate palate of ivory, white, and gold along with swoon-worthy panoramic city views from the fabulous Omni Parker House Hotel. Later, guests were on their feet for the wonderful rhythms of Sweet Tooth & the Sugarbabies and treated to charming favors from the Boston Olive Oil Company.

Thank you to all of the fabulous vendors that made this special day come to life! A very special thanks to Katie and Barry for choosing Person + Killian to document your wedding. We wish you all the happiness in the world!

Katherine and Andrew knew they wanted a sophisticated and elegant black tie wedding from the day they got engaged. They chose the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Back Bay for their summer wedding.

Design, decor and coordination of Katherine and Andrew’s vision was brought to fruition by the team at Hopple Popple, Inc and was even more beautiful than they had envisioned. Echoed in the dance floor, coordinated yet unique bridesmaids dresses, and the floral design by Winston Flowers (with regal pops of red), a color palette of black and white paired nicely with the black tie celebration.

Their emotional first look took place outside in the private courtyard of the hotel which also made for a perfect backdrop for photographs with the couple’s family and friends. The Mandarin Ballroom was transformed for the ceremony with floor to ceiling white drapes and accented with 2 stunning floral arrangements created by Winston Flowers at the beginning of the aisle. Katherine and Andrew exchanged their vows in a traditional Jewish ceremony under a beautiful floral chuppah.

A combination of rectangular mirrored tables mixed with classic rounds blended perfectly for the reception and were topped with an array of white flowers and candlelight. Following dinner, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed the evening on dance floor with music from Night Shift Entertainment.

A big thank you to the team at the Mandarin and to Linda Matzkin and her team at Hopple Popple for a wonderful day! Congratulations Katherine and Andrew and thank you for choosing us to document your wedding!

Originally from New Jersey and New Hampshire, Colleen and Matt now call Boston home. The couple lives right in the heart of the North End just next door to the historic Old North Church. When it came time to decide upon a location for their ceremony, there was no question Boston’s oldest church was the perfect place.

Colleen and Matt used the city as the inspiration for their wedding day. The first look took place at Old City Hall and with time before the ceremony, we were able to spend time at the scenic Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park on the outskirts of the North End. Wedding guests were  treated to Old Town Trolley tours on the way to and from the ceremony.

The reception took place at the most quintessential classic Boston hotel – the historic and beautiful Omni Parker House. In keeping with the theme, tables were named after local landmarks. The signature drinks were named the Boston Tea Party and the Copley Cooler and local brews of Harpoon, Sam Adams and Cisco Whale’s Tale were offered. Pop-Rock band The Grift came in from Vermont to play for the reception kept everyone on the dance floor for the rest of the evening.

A big thank you to the team at the Omni Parker House and Congratulations to Colleen and Matt! We had such a fantastic time taking in the sights of Boston with you on your wedding day!

We love Boston, and we love to work with couples who love Boston as much as we do! Emily + Kyle are a sweet couple from Louisiana who decided to have a destination Omni Parker House wedding! Emily has always dreamed of living in Boston, and she wanted to share the essence of the city with her groom, and her closest friends in family.

As Emily and Kyle’s loved ones joined them to celebrate their big day, they were treated to a tour of the city; including an Hampshire House rehearsal dinner in Beacon Hill and a tour of historic Fenway Park the day after the wedding! The ceremony itself took place at the Omni Parker House, Boston’s oldest hotel and classic Freedom Trail landmark.

With an intricately detailed, open-backed lace gown (purchased in the couple’s home state) and a delicate, classic beaded head band, Emily was elegant and beautiful. The bridesmaids, Emily’s sisters, were in a bright blue and the groomsmen’s bow ties coordinated perfectly. Emily and Kyle’s first looks were incredibly touching and emotional – we are so honored to capture such wonderful moments. The couple also took the opportunity, not only to have formal wedding party photos outdoors, but to take some photographs in front of the Old Boston City Hall.

In the traditional New England styled Press Room, the classic ceremony was a beautiful and intimate affair, before moving to the stately Alcott Ballroom for dinner and dancing. From the exquisite floral arrangements, to the beautiful table centerpieces, tones of white, blue and stunning gold shown through in the details.

Thank you to Alison Rose, and her team at the Omni Parker House for coordinating such a wonderful day. Congratulations Emily and Kyle!
