The last wedding of the year took place at the Boston Harbor Hotel and was an elegant and infectiously fun celebration. Taylor and John chose lots of classic white throughout the day’s events, accented by greens, gold, and lots of warm candlelight for a perfect winter vibe.

Once everyone was dressed and ready for the day to begin, the bride and groom met harbor-side for a private first look. Taylor and John decided to share their personal vows here at the first look rather than during the wedding ceremony, which made for a very special moment between bride and groom (and so much fun to capture!). Taylor added a white fur wrap to her wedding dress to stave off the cold and we captured some wonderful shots of the couple out along the water and under the iconic Boston Harbor Hotel archway and around the property.

The sun set as we moved inside to the Wharf Room for the wedding ceremony which was officiated by a close friend of the couple. Gold chairs, towering greenery, and a flood of warm candlelight added the perfect ambiance to this winter wedding ceremony. While guests enjoyed cocktails following the ceremony, the Wharf Room was transformed for the evening reception. Classic white and soft pink flowers were interspersed with wintery green pine, with a sprig of pine adorning each place setting. Soft lighting and candles made the room feel intimate and warm even with the cold winter night outside — and the incredible love and laughter shared by all the guests certainly helped too!

We are so grateful to have ended our 2019 wedding season with such a wonderful couple at one of our favorite venues, the Boston Harbor Hotel. Special thanks to Taylor and John, and to Ted and his entire Boston Harbor Hotel team.

It was a beautiful day in Boston for this winter wedding — sunny, bright, with just a little bit of snow still lining the city streets. Bride and groom Lindsey and Sal are no strangers to the Boston social and event industry, Lindsey works at a local salon and has plenty of experience with brides on their big day and Sal owns a rental company. Their classic winter wedding at the State Room Boston was elegant, modern, and a perfect reflection of the beautiful winter season.

Lindsey and Sal prepped for the wedding day at the nearby Langham Hotel. They wanted to keep their wedding party intimate, with only Lindsey’s best friend and salon co-worker serving as bridesmaid and Sal’s business partner and best friend filling the role of groomsman. The couple met in the lobby of the Langham for their first look, before being whisked away in an antique white car from Le Limo. Both Lindsey and Sal love and own antique cars, so even though the drive wasn’t very long to the State Room Boston it was important that the car be incorporated into their wedding day!

After arriving at the State Room Boston, we went straight up to the Great Room on the 33rd floor for some formal photos with the couple. Lindsey and Sal’s beloved bulldog Bruin unfortunately couldn’t be at the wedding, but he was featured in their engagement photos leading up to the Great Room, as well as on the menus, place cards, and as a cut-out inside the photo booth. The wedding ceremony at the State Room Boston was officiated by Sal’s aunt, and the couple said their “I dos” overlooking the gorgeous snowy streets of Boston below.

While guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, the Great Room was transformed into a gorgeous winter wedding reception. The couple chose a color palette of classic white — perfect for the season — with white linens, towering white floral arrangements, crystal chiavari chairs with white cushions, and a soft seating area of modern white furniture just off the dance floor. Lindsey changed into a second dress after dinner, with a sleeker skirt perfect for dancing. After the cake cutting and a few toast, this happy newlywed couple celebrated the night away surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones.

Thank you to Lindsey and Sal for being such a joy to work with, and to the entire team at the State Room Boston for this fabulous winter wedding celebration!

There is nothing we love more than a Boston Harbor Hotel wedding in the winter! Especially when mother nature blesses us with a 60 degree day! Something about the spectacular waterfront and crisp air that makes for an absolutely magical and unforgettable event, and Christina + Chip’s day was just that.

The couple got ready at the Boston Harbor Hotel, where the groom surprised his bride with the sweetest gift, a new puppy (named Gus) and not to mention a fabulous new bag to carry him in! After their loving first look, the entire wedding party headed over to Fan Pier for photos. We absolutely love this amazing cityscape location that perfectly captures the beauty of the Boston Harbor in the background.

Following their ceremony, Christina, Chip and their wedding party headed back to dance the night away! Of course we had to make a stop out front for a classic twinkle light photo. The various lights from the trees and venue made for a magical winter setting.

The ballroom was inviting and warm, filled with touches of white, green and gold. We loved the delicate branches and candles that filled the room. The Wharf Room felt soft and romantic. The evenings festivities were overflowing with love, laughter, family and friends.

A big thank you to the entire team at the Boston Harbor Hotel for another flawless event, and congratulations Christina + Chip!

We had a blast ringing in 2013 at Allie and Joe’s InterContinental Hotel Boston Wedding this New Year’s Eve! What better time to be surrounded by your friends and family and throw a great celebration than on the last night of the year.

Allie and Joe definitely knew how to throw a great party, with classic colors of black, white and silver popping up throughout the decor for a fun and festive New Year’s Eve theme wedding. After getting ready in the rooms of the InterContinental, the bride, groom, and guests headed to the gorgeous Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church in Waltham for the ceremony. The church was gorgeous, with surrounding stained glass and soft candlelight creating the perfect atmosphere for an evening winter wedding.

Before heading into the InterContinental‘s fabulous Rose Kennedy Ballroom for the party to begin, guests enjoyed cocktails in the foyer. New Year’s hats and customized glasses were passed out in preparation for the big countdown and guests were serenaded by the North Shore Acappella group. The Ballroom itself was stunning — silver linens topped with white floral centerpieces by William Mizuta, white dance floor, and custom lighting by Suzanne B. Lowell including an “A” and “J” monogram.

After all the formalities of the wedding were underway, it was time for the New Year’s Party to begin! The dessert buffet opened as soon as the midnight countdown had finished, and Allie and Joe welcomed 2013 with a great celebration. Thank you both for a wonderful New Year’s Eve, we had so much fun sharing this night with you!
