Sarah + John’s beautifully classic Four Seasons Hotel Boston wedding combined traditional Boston elegance with a touch of fun summer flair for a really special and unforgettable evening. With the design and floral expertise of Carol Silverston of The Original Touch and the immaculate coordination of the Four Seasons Boston’s Philip Deschamps, each detail was stunning, fun, and perfectly executed!

Sarah + John combined classic wedding colors of white, gold, and pearl with fun pops of navy throughout their design and decor. Sarah wore a beautiful asymmetrical wedding gown paired with navy blue  heels and a soft white bouquet.

We did the couple’s first look on the Four Seasons elegant grand staircase, followed by a few quick photographs of the smiling bride and groom inside the hotel. From there we headed across the street for some wedding formals in the Boston Public Garden. The weather was perfect for a summer wedding, and we had plenty of time to get pictures of the whole wedding party in the Garden as well as some romantic summer shots of Sarah + John alone prior to the ceremony.

The traditional Catholic wedding ceremony took place at the historic Cathedral of the Holy Cross in downtown Boston — one of our favorite Boston wedding ceremony venues. Following the vows, it was back to the Four Seasons  for cocktails in the ballroom foyer. The wedding reception in the ballroom was fresh, summery, and elegant, with bright white linens and beautiful pearl-colored ballroom chairs. The clear glass charger plates were lined with a touch of gold, and the floral centerpieces mixed classic white blossoms with pops of green, pink, and purple. Sarah + John had two wedding cakes — a classic and elegant tiered cake topped with white roses for the couple, and a fun golf-themed cake just for the groom. Overall it was a beautiful summer Four Seasons Hotel Boston wedding, and we loved being able to share it with the happy newlyweds and their family.

Special thanks to Carol Silverston and Philip Deschamps for always being so wonderful to work with! Congratulations Sarah + John!!

The Four Seasons Boston is a perfect venue for couples who are looking for a classic, elegant, traditionally beautiful wedding. Their location right in the heart of the Back Bay makes it easily accessible to so many great churches, and a quick walk across the street puts you in the Boston Public Garden! Jennifer and Dustin celebrated on the last weekend of Spring and we had a wonderful time capturing the day.

The color palette of the wedding was classic white, with soft touches of pink accented throughout. Jennifer looked stunning in a strapless mermaid gown, with silver beading at the waist. Her bouquet was pink peonies and roses, and we loved her pink Valentino heels to match! The bridesmaids wore strapless blue dresses, with white and green floral bouquets.

Jennifer wanted to incorporate her love of bows and gave each of the bridesmaids a Tiffany & Co Silver Bow Ribbon necklace. As Dustin was opening his gift from Jen (an antique clock similar to the one her parents received on their wedding day), Jen received a gorgeous pair of Tiffany Pearl earrings from the Groom. As a surprise for her wedding shower, Jen received a necklace made from one of her grandmothers old rings from her mom and dad that completed her look.

The ceremony took place at the nearby Arlington Street Church. Columbine Floral Design created two beautiful arrangements placed on either side of the church’s altar, matching Jen’s bouquet.

As soon as the ceremony was over, we walked down the street with the happy newlyweds to take pictures in the Boston Public Garden with their bridal party and family. We could not have asked for better weather to capture these outdoor formals with Jennifer, Dustin and their wonderful family before heading back to the Four Seasons Boston for the reception.

While guests and the bridal party enjoyed cocktails in the Aujourd’hui Room, we had the time to take a few more pictures of Jennifer and Dustin on the Four Season’s elegant grand staircase.

We LOVED Jen’s reaction when the Hopple Popple and Four Seasons team gave the couple a sneak peak at the ballroom (newly renovated)! Silver linens topped the tables, with softly veiled silver ballroom chairs around each. The beautiful floral centerpieces were filled with white roses, pink peonies, and hanging white orchids. The 5-tiered white wedding cake was decorated with cascading white flowers, and displayed Jennifer + Dustin’s custom monogram. The same monogram was projected with light onto the white dance floor, adding a personal touch to this classically elegant wedding reception.

Guests were ready to eat, drink and dance the night away to celebrate this wonderful couple! Bartenders served two signature cocktails named after the couple’s dogs — “The Maggie” and “The Lilly”. After speeches, formal dances, and the cutting of the cake, the dance floor was opened for the rest of the evening. As well as a traditional dessert station at the end of the night, guests enjoyed individually wrapped Bride and Groom cookies to take home with them.

We had such a blast celebrating this day with Jennifer + Dustin. Special thanks to ladies of Hopple Popple for such a beautiful event as always, and the entire team at the Four Seasons Boston. Congratulations Jennifer + Dustin!

It was the first weekend of the season that really felt like summer, and we were so happy to celebrate the gorgeous weather with Elizabeth and Ben at their Harvard Club of Boston Wedding in Back Bay!

Elizabeth and her wedding party started the day getting ready in the beautiful rooms above the Harvard Club. The bride wore a classic white lace wedding gown, a great choice for the late-spring heat, and her bridesmaids matched perfectly in strapless champagne-colored gowns. The bouquets from Stapleton Floral added a light splash of pink, purple, and green to the ladies’ dresses.

The couple’s first look and photo shoot with their bridal party took place in the Harvard Club’s Massachusetts Room — the sweeping red curtains and black and white checkered floor were perfect for a classic and elegant backdrop. After the ceremony at the nearby Church of the Advent behind Boston’s historic Beacon Hill, we took advantage of the flawless spring weather to get some shots with the newly-married couple in the Boston Public Garden!

Guests returned to the Harvard Club of Boston for the evening reception, which took place downstairs in the Club’s Harvard Hall. The dark wood-paneled walls and towering ceilings provide a great neutral color palette to accentuate with decor. The red chairs, colorful red centerpieces, and red-trimmed flatware added the perfect touch of color to this beautiful space. The Hall’s central fireplace and ornate chandeliers, along with traditional candelabras on the surrounding walls, made this wedding reception warm, intimate, and classically elegant.

Thank you to Elizabeth + Ben, and the whole team at the Harvard Club of Boston for such a wonderful wedding day!

Emily and Dustin celebrated their Mandarin Oriental Boston wedding on a beautiful (and blustery!) day right in downtown Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood.

The couple took advantage of the great outdoor space, having their traditional “first look” in the Mandarin’s Courtyard. We were able to get some great photographs with the bride and groom outside, despite all the wind, before moving inside the hotel for some formals.

The couple had a beautiful traditional Jewish ceremony, followed by a stunning reception in the Mandarin’s ballroom. Emily & Dustin’s wedding was classic, traditional, and very elegant — a simple color palette of steel grey and white was made very warm and intimate with lots of soft lighting, giving the room a candlelit glow. As always Florist William Mizuta designed gorgeous arrangements for the event and each table was accented with warm pinspot lighting, thanks to the team at Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting. We loved being able to capture this great couple on their wedding day, congratulations Emily and Dustin and thank you for choosing Person + Killian Photography!

Classic. Traditional. Black Tie. These are just a few of the words Rachel used to describe her inspiration for her Belmont Country Club wedding to Billy, but Person + Killian Photography was there, and we think it was all of those things and more!

The entire event took place at the Belmont Country Club in Belmont, MA, which, of course, made a lovely backdrop for pictures.  The lush golf greens served as a gorgeous contrast to the rich cabernet bridesmaid gowns and the crisp, black tuxedoes worn by the groomsmen.

We enjoy all of the weddings we do, but one thing we really loved about this one was the way in which Rachel and Billy were able to incorporate so many traditions into their special day.

It’s becoming more and more common for brides and grooms to see one another before the ceremony, but it’s definitely not every day that they have a traditional Bedeken ceremony, as well! (For those of you who aren’t familiar with that, it is a traditional Jewish ceremony where the groom identifies his bride and then puts the blusher on her to make sure he is marrying the right woman.)

Rachel and Billy were wed under a traditional chuppah, and the couple was also able to incorporate the glass-breaking, Tish, and Ketubah ceremonies into their celebration.

And of course, their reception would not have been complete without the time-honored Horah!

Thank you, Rachel and Billy! We had a wonderful time sharing your beautiful day and capturing all of these special moments!
