We could not have asked for a more beautiful Fall day for this gorgeous Fairmont Copley Plaza Wedding! Anastasia and George’s wedding was a perfect mix of classic, traditional and beautifully elegant — and it was so much fun to photograph! We stared the day with the bride and her bridesmaids, getting ready at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, while George got ready at his parent’s home in Boston.

Guests arrived at the historic Annunciation Cathedral in Boston for a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony. The couple said their “I do’s” as the Anima string quartet played beautifully in celebration of this joyous moment. The bride and groom departed the cathedral in a receiving line complete with a ceremonial throwing of rose petals.

We then headed back to the Fairmont for formal photos of the couple and their families both inside and outside of the hotel while their guests began enjoying cocktail hour. The bride and groom entered the grand ballroom and it wasn’t long before everyone was on the dance floor, dancing to the traditional music played by a Greek band. As Tashia + George danced the night away, friends and relatives threw money over their heads — a tradition at Greek weddings to bestow good fortune and prosperity on the bride and groom.

A very special thanks to Amy Kimball Events, Tracey Gavin and the entire team at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, for always being so lovely to work with! Congratulations Tashia and George!!

We could not have asked for a more beautiful spring day for this gorgeous Armenian Wedding at the Fairmont Copley Plaza! Tatevik + Gary’s wedding day was a perfect mix of classic, traditional, and beautifully elegant — and it was so much fun to photograph.

We stared the day with the bride and her bridesmaids, getting ready at Tatevik’s aunt’s house in Belmont. The bride wore a gorgeous form-fitting Vera Wang gown, while her bridesmaids looked on in deep purple strapless dresses and adorable lilac purple dresses for the two junior bridesmaids. All of the day’s flowers were a classic white, from the lush white bride’s bouquet to the beautiful white orchid arrangements that stood on either side of the church’s altar. Tatevik + Gary said their “I do”s in a classic Armenian wedding ceremony at the Holy Trinity Armenian Church in Cambridge. It’s always wonderful for us to be a part of a unique wedding ceremony like this, so many beautiful traditions and special moments that we don’t normally get to see!

Once the bride and groom became husband and wife, we took the entire bridal party back to Boston to get some formal photos in the Boston Public Garden. It was a beautiful and sunny spring day, perfect for outdoor wedding photos. We stayed a little bit longer with Tatevik + Gary alone, and then took them back to Copley Square for some pictures in front of the Fairmont Copley Plaza, Boston Public Library, and historic Trinity Church.

Their evening wedding reception took place in the Fairmont Copley Plaza grand ballroom, which was enhanced with sparkling white linens and classic white orchid centerpieces. The whole room was washed with colorful purple uplighting, which was picked up beautifully by all of the white decor. It wasn’t long before everyone was on the dance floor, dancing to the traditional music played by an Armenian band brought all the way in from California! As Tatevik + Gary danced the night away, friends and relatives threw money over their heads — a tradition at Armenian weddings to bestow good fortune and prosperity on the bride and groom.

We were so happy to share this wonderful day with Tatevik, Gary, and their families. This traditional Armenian wedding was so gorgeous, elegant, and full of fun and laughter, we were lucky to be a part of it! Special thanks to Alice Fay and the entire team at the Fairmont Copley Plaza, and congratulations to the bride and groom.

We loved all the details of this beautiful summer wedding at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston! Christina + Sean chose their color inspiration of gold and pink, and everything — from the flowers to the dresses to linens — matched perfectly. With the event design of Elizabeth Sleeper from Table 6 Productions,  the bride and groom got the perfect wedding day they always dreamed of.

Before the early evening ceremony, we spent the afternoon getting ready with Christina + Sean at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Christina wore a stunning strapless wedding gown accented with a silver headpiece. Her floral bouquet was a beautiful mix of light pink, dark pink, and white roses and her three bridesmaids wore soft pink dresses to match.

The bride and groom decided not to see each other before the wedding, so we headed to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in downtown Boston for the ceremony. Christina + Sean exchanged their wedding rings and “I do”s during a traditional Catholic nuptial mass, and we decided to stick around the Cathedral following the ceremony to get some formal photographs with the newlyweds and their wedding party.

With a smaller wedding party of three bridesmaids and three groomsmen, we had lots of extra time to go to all of their favorite Boston locations around the city. After leaving the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, we headed to the front steps of the Boston Public Library. It was a perfect summer day, so we got some great shots right in the heart of Copley Square with the blue sky and Fairmont and Hancock Tower in the background.

While the bridal party headed back to the Fairmont Copley Plaza to start cocktails, we took Christina + Sean up to Beacon Hill and the famous Acorn Street (named the “most photographed street in the United States”) for a few photos of the newlyweds. Then it was back to Copley Square for some time in the secluded courtyard behind the historic Trinity Church, and finally back into the Fairmont Copley Plaza lobby! Even after all of these great Boston wedding pictures, the bride and groom still had plenty of time to enjoy their cocktail hour before the evening reception began.

We loved the signature drink displays accented with pink rock candy swizzle sticks!

The Oval Room at the Fairmont Copley Plaza was transformed into a gorgeous wedding reception for Christina + Sean. Soft pink uplights washed the walls with bright color, and cozy lounge furniture was placed around the dance floor. Each centerpiece featured golden branches with balls of bright pink flowers, over gold and pink textured linens. When the formalities of the evening were done and it was time to party, Christina changed into a super cute short white dress and kicked off the dancing with Sean and their guests.

Thank you to Elizabeth at Table 6 Productions, as well as Alice and the entire team of the Fairmont Copley Plaza for another spectacular wedding. Congratulations Christina and Sean!

Erin and Hayes really took advantage of this beautiful summer season at their Fairmont Copley Plaza Wedding in late July. They incorporated lots of fresh summer flowers and soft summer colors into their classic and elegant ballroom wedding.

Erin’s beautiful summer bouquet was full of white roses and peonies, and accented with subtle hints of purple and green. Her bridesmaids wore dark navy chiffon dresses and carried stunning bouquets in shades of creme, purple, and blush. The bride and groom decided not to see each other before the wedding, so we headed straight to the gorgeous chapel at St. Cecilia’s once the ladies were ready for the traditional Catholic ceremony!

We made the quick trip from St. Cecilia’s to the Boston Public Garden following the ceremony for some sunny outdoor wedding photos with Erin, Hayes, and their wedding party. The summer weather could not have been more perfect for the outdoor formals! The evening reception took place in the Fairmont Copley Plaza’s Oval Room — the gold and champagne colored walls, curtains, and crystal chandelier were matched perfectly by simple textured white linens and beautiful summer floral centerpieces. The newlyweds chose a mix of tall arrangements in elegant clear vases and smaller mixes of the same flowers. The summer flowers were white, pink, and soft blush, and the tables were paired with gold chiavari ballroom chairs matched with white cushions.

After the romantic first dance and toasts from friends and family, Erin and Hayes cut their gorgeous four-tiered white wedding cake — decorated with cascading creme-colored roses and displayed on a bright gold stand, surrounded by soft blush summer rose petals.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful summer wedding, with a perfect mix of classic elegance, traditional details, and fun summer colors. As always a big thank you to Alice Fay and her entire team at the Fairmont Copley Plaza for always being so lovely to work with! Cheers to another beautiful event, and congratulations Erin + Hayes!

The 2013 wedding season was in full swing last week, with gorgeous sunny weather and a beautiful wedding at the Fairmont Copley Plaza!

Lina and Jonathan couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spring day for their Boston wedding. Jonathan spent the morning, getting ready with his groomsmen at home, while Lina and her bridesmaids spent the morning at one of our favorite venues, the Fairmont Copley Plaza! The couple chose to have their Catholic wedding ceremony at St. Josephs Parish, their home church in Medford, and come back to Boston after the “I do”s for family pictures and the evening party!

The full mass ceremony ended in the afternoon, leaving us plenty of time to travel back to Boston before the Fairmont Copley Plaza reception. We took the newlyweds, their family, and the whole wedding party into the Boston Public Garden for wedding pictures and family formals, and the sun never stopped shining! We love how spring weddings in Boston give us the chance to go outside, and take full advantage of the great weather in some beautiful outdoor spaces like the Boston Public Garden.

Lina and Jonathan’s wedding reception was held in the Fairmont Copley Plaza Grand Ballroom, which the bride described as “black tie chic”. The romantic flowers were accented with pops of metallic, and the long table arrangements were displayed in bright mirrored window boxes. They had all the elements of a classic black tie wedding, with a great modern twist!

Congratulations Lina and Jonathan and thank you for trusting P+K to document this special day! We just adored working with you and your families!

Felicia and Joe’s wedding weekend kicked off with a rehearsal at the TD Garden. After dinner overlooking the court, all guests were given Celtic’s t-shirts and invited down to Beantown’s infamous parquet floor for 2 hrs of open basketball.  Lil’ Phunk (the official Celtics junior dance troupe) took center court to teach interested guests their moves. Person + Killian Photography was thrilled to capture this a-typical and fun-filled evening for the newlyweds to be.

The wedding day started with getting ready at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. From there, the ceremony took place at Boston’s historic Arlington Street Church. The couple along with their wedding party took photos in the Public Garden before heading to the tented reception at the groom’s family home. Guests were treated to the scrumptious food and cake catered by MAX Ultimate Food in the tent with décor, flowers and lighting from Michael & Company, SBL Lighting and Table Toppers of Newton.

Felicia and Joe – Thank you for choosing us to capture your special day, to Jen for making the weekend run so smoothly and to Neal Balkowitsch for thinking of P+K for this unforgettable wedding weekend.
