Winter is here, but there is still time to share more of our recent weddings! This classic Fall Boston Harbor Hotel wedding combined the gorgeous season with the classic Greek traditions of the bride and groom, all on the beautiful Boston waterfront.

Lauren and Nick chose to have their Fall wedding day at the Boston Harbor Hotel — the bride and her bridesmaids got ready with dresses, hair, and makeup in the hotel’s Presidential Suite while the groom and groomsmen started their day elsewhere in the hotel. Once everyone was ready, Lauren and Nick met outside on the waterfront for a sweet first look moment. We took advantage of the sunny Fall day and snapped some photos with the couple outside on the harbor — using the beautiful waterfront and Boston Harbor Hotel as a backdrop. We were soon joined by the couple’s family and bridal party for group photos in front of the hotel as well as on the greenway across the street. The bridesmaid’s wine red dresses matched perfectly with the fall colors outside, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful day in Boston.

From the hotel, we headed to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral for the wedding ceremony. Lauren and Nick said their “I do”s in a traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony, followed by a receiving line and a bubble exit out of the church as husband and wife! Everyone headed back to the Boston Harbor Hotel for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the newly renovated Wharf Room Foyer, then into the Wharf Room Ballroom for the wedding reception.

The couple chose a classic and elegant color palette for their wedding decor, with classic linens and white floral centerpieces to match the white dance floor. Each of the ballroom’s pillars was decorated with a touch of Autumn colors, contrasting perfectly with the clean light decor. The reception was full of fun, celebration, and lots of dancing. A traditional Greek family dance was held after the newlywed’s first dance, which packed the dance floor and kept everyone dancing and celebrating all night long.

We were so happy to be a part of this classic Fall wedding at the Boston Harbor Hotel, special thanks to Lauren, Nick, and all their friends and family for such a wonderful celebration! A big thank you to Michael Boivin for always being a pleasure to work with!

For this beautiful Fall wedding at the Omni Parker House, who better to tell us about the wedding day than the bride herself. Michelle said: “A wedding is such a crazy experience. You spend over a year planning for a party; there’s ups and downs and twists and turns that you could never predict. When the day finally came, it turned out to be our best day ever.”

Michelle and Bill have a long history with the Omni Parker House in Boston. Bill’s mother, Elaine, works at the venue and has been an industry friend of ours for many years. When her son and Michelle got engaged, the Omni Parker House turned out to be the perfect choice. As Michelle put it: “When we first got engaged, it did not take long for us to decide we wanted to have a wedding in the city. We both grew up in suburbs close to Boston, and had been living downtown for several years. The Omni Parker House quickly became the obvious choice, not only because of the groom’s long family history with the Hotel, but because of the beautiful historic feel to the function rooms.”

After getting ready for the day in the Hotel, both bride and groom took a quick walk across the street to the Old City Hall for their first look. To keep with the “historic Boston” feel of the day, the wedding party hired a trolley to take them around the city for some formal photos. First stop was the Boston Public Garden, followed by the couple’s favorite neighborhood bar where they had had their first date — the Harvard Gardens on Cambridge Street in Boston. Then it was back to the Omni Parker House for the wedding ceremony. Michelle and Bill became husband and wife in a beautiful evening ceremony in the Omni Parker House’s Press Room, then it was up to the rooftop terrace for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

The reception was held in the Omni Parker House Ballroom. “We wanted a classic romantic feel to match the charm of the hotel. We decided on tuxedos and black gowns for the wedding party, and decided we wanted to use a lot of greens for our flowers. The staff at the Omni, the lighting team from Entertainment Specialists, and the wonderful team we worked with at Winston’s Flowers did an incredible job of transforming the room into our dream ballroom.” Michelle and Bill chose classic, neutral colors of white, creme, and shades of brown to match the Ballroom’s classic historic decor, and the towering green and white centerpieces from Winston’s really made the room pop. Michelle and Bill could not have been happier to be celebrating this day with their loved ones. “Surrounded by all our family and friends, we celebrated our love and the start of our new lives together as husband and wife. Looking back, there are so many memories from that day that make us smile, and more than a couple that we know will continue to bring a tear of joy to our eyes forever.”

Special thanks to Elaine, Alison Rose, and the entire team at the Omni for this wonderful wedding celebration, and to Michelle and Bill for letting us be a part of it!

Lauren and Jeff chose the Four Seasons Boston for their wedding on the first day of fall. The couple was able to utilize all of the beautiful spaces within the venue throughout their day as well as the Boston Public Garden on the gorgeous crisp fall day. The first look took place a top of the grand staircase before we headed across the street to the garden for formal photographs with the couple and wedding party. The Governor’s Room was the perfect location for the ceremony followed by cocktails in the Aujourd Hui.

Lauren and Jeff wanted the look and feel of their day to be classic and elegant and incorporated colors of black and silver along with pops of white and light and bright pink. The colors could be seen throughout the day in everything from the brides pink shoes, shimmering black bridesmaids dresses to the silver chiavari chairs in the ballroom. Following dinner in the ballroom, the Kahootz Band kept Lauren, Jeff and their guests on the dance floor celebrating throughout the rest of the evening.

Thank you to the always wonderful team at the Four Seasons and congratulations again to Lauren and Jeff! We loved working with you!

Leah and Craig’s sweet fall wedding at Boston’s Fairmont Copley Plaza was full of tradition and love. We began the crisp fall day joining the wedding parties in their suites at the Fairmont. We found Leah and her loved ones preparing for the couple’s First Look. Leah dressed in a gorgeous ruffled gown from Michael De Paulo with sparkly Jimmy Choo shoes. A lush and light bouquet of mixed fall flowers completed her stunning look. We captured a few fun moments of Craig before he dressed in a formal black-tie tuxedo and we made our way to the much anticipated First Look.

After a private and tender moment seeing each other for the first time, Leah and Craig readied for their Bedeken or Veiling Ceremony. This Jewish tradition involves the veiling of the bride — the bedeken — “where the bride and groom’s families meet and the groom confirms that the bride is his intended, then covers her face with a veil.” (and what a veil it was!) Immediately following, the wedding ceremony was in the Grand Ballroom under a customary wedding chuppah. A white aisle runner laden with petals led to a polished and reflective chuppah that was surrounded by lush floral arrangements. After the traditional ceremony, guests headed to cocktail hour where the atmosphere was cheerful, full with great conversations. Guests made their way back to the transformed Grand Ballroom for the reception. The ballroom was radiant with a complementing palette of golds and creams with pops of fall colors. Tall floral arrangements with candlelight and gold-rimmed mirrored table numbers felt right at home in the ballroom. Full of laughter and celebrations, the evening continued with toasts, dinner and lots and lots of dancing!

We adored capturing this sweet & loving couple’s day; Leah and Craig – you and your families are both gracious and kind – thank you for letting Person + Killian Photography capture this exceptional day! As always, thank you to our fellow vendors, and Tracey Gavin and her skillful team at the Fairmont!

Dana and Garhett’s fall inspired Four Seasons Wedding with Hopple Popple was full of classic romance. The details of this wedding still have us smiling. For starters, Garhett proposed with the help of Nala, the couple’s dog. Garhett created an adorable customized dog-tag that said “Dana” on one side and “Will You Marry Me?” on the other. We joined the bridal party at the Four Season’s where preparations for the day were in full swing.

The ceremony took place under a chuppah of white roses, hydrangea and greenery that framed the couple as they exchanged vows in front of their loved ones. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour, with a striking escort card table that greeted guests. The celebrating continued into the reception with a modern autumn palette. The tablescapes featured hints of soft pinks balanced with creams and golds; lush centerpieces of exotic and traditional flowers.  A draped wall of candlelight and flowers anchored the space and provided a warm backdrop for the band.

After toasts and dinner, dancing and dessert was on the agenda as the guests enjoyed the many fun details Dana and Gahrett put together. From the wedding cake topped with a dog-tag welcoming the newly married “Solomans” to the local artist who painted a portrait of the wedding as a keepsake for the couple. And of course, who could forget the Halloween-inspired favors specially made by the mother of the bride.

Congratulations again, Dana and Gahrett, thank you for letting Person + Killian capture this special day. Also thank you to Jim Peters and his team at the Four Seasons as well as Linda, Aya and Julie and their team at Hopple Popple for creating the perfect day for such a fantastic couple.

There is nothing we love more than a Boston Harbor Hotel wedding in the fall! Something about the spectacular waterfront and crisp autumn air that makes for an absolutely magical and unforgettable event, and Elise + Kevin’s perfectly classic celebration was just that. The couple got ready at the Boston Harbor Hotel and chose not to see each other until the ceremony, which was a beautiful full mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Charlestown, MA. The ornate stained glass windows, high ceiling and intricate architecture of the Church, combined with the beautiful fall florals from Winston Flowers made the ceremony  truly captivating.

After the ceremony we headed over to the Boston public garden to take formal photos of the newlyweds and their families. The  grounds and fall foliage of the garden were the perfect backdrop to capture such special moments for Elise and Kevin. They then they joined their guests for cocktail hour and the reception back at the Boston Harbor Hotel overlooking the gorgeous waterfront.

The ballroom was inviting and warm, filled with exquisite fall decor, ivory and yellow wedding centerpieces with delicate branches and vines and candles. The bride and groom celebrated the night away with their family and friends while enjoying toasts, a beautiful ivory cake topped with fall flowers and dancing to the spectacular Boston band, Kahootz. Thank you to the entire team at the Boston Harbor Hotel for another flawless event, and congratulations Elise and Kevin!

Classic & Elegant Fall Boston Harbor Hotel Wedding – Photographed by Person + Killian Photography – 251 Newbury Street – Boston, MA 02116 – 617.236.1662

Alexandra and Christopher were an all-around adorable couple, and their beautiful Four Seasons Hotel Boston Wedding was elegant, traditional, celebratory, and — most of all — fun!

Alex wore a stunning strapless wedding gown and carried a bouquet of classic white flowers included roses, peonies, and long white calla lilies all bundled together with lace from her mother’s vail. Her bridal party carried simple white rose bouquets and wore elegant navy blue dresses to perfectly compliment the bride! Alex + Chris had their “first look” at the top of the Four Seasons Hotel Boston grand staircase, and the groom’s expression upon seeing his bride for the first time was one in a million. We took some quick photos with Alex + Chris on the elegant staircase, before heading across the street to the Boston Public Garden for some outdoor Photos.

When we came back to the Four Seasons, we were met by Alex + Chris’ closest friends and family to do all of their formal wedding photography. The bride and groom chose to do all of their formal photos before the wedding ceremony, so they would be able to join their guests at cocktail hour following the wedding! We finished up the family photos, Alex + Chris’ signed their Ketubah (a traditional Jewish wedding document), and it was time for the ceremony. Alex + Chris said their “I dos” underneath a stunning white Chuppah in the Four Seasons Boston’s Governor’s Room. The Chuppah was adorned with white orchids, and two large white rose arrangements stood on either side of the aisle.

The bride and groom got a sneak-peek of the ballroom before the reception began — it was beautiful with classic white ballroom chairs and a mix of white and silver linens. The tables featured a blend of low white rose floral arrangements, and tall centerpieces with a gorgeous pop of red flowers to accent the room. The ballrooms natural color was accented with soft candlelight that gave the space a warm, intimate glow.

We were so thrilled to share this day with a truly wonderful bride and groom — thank you for being so happy, easy-going, and fun! Special thanks to Philip Deschamps at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston, Carol Silverston -The Original Touch and Jodi Raphael Events  for a truly beautiful event. Congratulations Alex + Chris!

It was the first day of Fall, and Caroline + Drew could not have asked for a more perfect day for their Taj Boston Wedding. The bride and groom wanted a classic and traditional wedding throughout all the aspects of their big day, from the soft white flowers, to the beautiful Church ceremony (which held extra special significance to Caroline), to the evening reception in the elegant Taj Boston Grand Ballroom.

Caroline + Drew both love the color navy, so they decided to accent Caroline’s strapless white wedding dress and bouquets of white roses with deep navy blue dresses for the bridesmaids. The flower girls’ ruffled white dresses matched the bride’s gown perfectly, with a classic blue sash around each one. Drew and the rest of the wedding party travelled to the church in a white wedding trolley, while Caroline and her father followed behind in a white limousine.

The wedding ceremony was held at the Holy Name Parish in West Roxbury, which is the very same church that Caroline’s mother and father got married in years earlier. The inside of the church was stunning, with a high domed ceiling and lots of colorful stained glass for a warm, intimate feeling. Caroline + Drew chose simple white flower accents leading down the aisle, to enhance the natural beauty and color of the church itself.

Coming out of the church after the big “I do”s, the Fall afternoon weather was absolutely picture-perfect. We couldn’t help but snap a few photos of the happy newlyweds on the steps of the Parish, with beautiful puffy clouds filling the sunny blue sky behind them! Before heading back to the Taj Boston for the reception, we took Caroline, Drew, and their wedding party into the Boston Public Garden for some outdoor wedding formals in the sunshine.

The Taj Boston Grand Ballroom was transformed into the traditional and elegant wedding reception Caroline + Drew had been dreaming of, with textured champagne linens and gorgeous table-top floral arrangements from Winston Flowers. The Grand Ballroom is full of rich, warm color on its own, so the soft white flowers were the perfect choice to enhance the natural elegance of the space without overwhelming it. Both the high and low floral arrangements were paired with gold candle votives, giving the room a warm romantic glow as soon as the sun started to set. The bride and groom had a lot of fun with their wedding cakes, choosing a traditional navy and white tiered cake AND a special New York Yankees themed baseball cake for their traditional cake cutting!

This classic and traditional Taj Boston wedding was the perfect way to kick off the Fall season, and we were so happy to be there to share the day with Caroline + Drew.
