Even a drizzly Boston day couldn’t dampen the smiles of this happy couple! Carlisle and Max celebrated their State Room Boston wedding with a lot of laughter, a lot of fun, and just a few raindrops along the way.

The couple and wedding party started the day at the Ames Hotel Boston to get ready. It was a short walk across the street to the State Room Boston for the entire day’s celebration. The couple’s dream for their wedding day was simple and classic. Neutral colors, fresh greenery, and small pops of pink for a little bit of fun! The vibe was timeless.

The couple said their “I do’s” in the State Room Boston’s Great Room, overlooking the downtown and the Boston Harbor. Classic black and white colors prevailed, with the flower girls in an adorable pop of pink. After enjoying cocktails on the mezzanine above, guests came back down to the Great Room for dinner, dancing, and celebration of the newlyweds. The city outside the window lit up as the sun began to set, while guests headed to the dance floor! The energy of the night was full of smiles, love, laughter, and joy. Everyone (ourselves included) was happy to be there with this wonderful couple!

Thank you to the Longwood Events team for always being wonderful to work with and a big congratulations to Carlisle and Max!

About 20 miles north of the hustle and bustle of Boston sits the Tupper Manor; a gorgeous estate with elegant halls, stunning architecture, and sprawling green lawns. For Miami-based couple Molly and Andrew, the Tupper Manor was the perfect place to celebrate their northeast roots.

We were sent this wonderful couple from our friend Edna Dratch Parker, who is also a family friend of the bride. Edna and coordinator Kasie Blanchette (owners of EFD Creative) assembled an absolute A-team for this summer wedding. The team was made up almost entirely of Boston Wedding Group members — including invites, flowers, cake, venue, planning, hair, makeup, rental, photo and video!

Molly and Andrew put their absolute trust in us and all of their wedding team. They chose details of white, peach, and soft pink to complement the elegance of the Tupper Manor and the summer season. They even let us take them outside in a 100 degree heat wave for some stunning first look photos and wedding party formals. Molly and Andrew were easy-going and fun-loving; and that energy translated to the entire wedding day. From the sunny late afternoon wedding ceremony to the evening reception — even Molly’s sister jumped in and sang a song with the band that got everyone up out of their seats and onto the dance floor!

Huge thank you to Edna, Kasie at EFD Creative for sending this wonderful couple our way. And special thanks to Molly and Andrew for a beautiful and memorable wedding day full of love and laughter!

For a summer wedding in Boston there is nothing quite like being out on Boston Harbor. Victoria and Yoni, affectionately referred to by friends and family as “Yontoria”, chose the Boston Harbor Hotel for their wedding celebration. They took full advantage of the gorgeous indoor spaces as well as the Boston Harbor right outside for all aspects of their wedding day.

From getting ready in the hotel suites to the wedding ceremony in the ballroom, there were so many places for celebration.  The waterfront, the boats, and of course the classic grand archway were all perfect places for formal photos of the family and romantic photos of the bride and groom.

Throughout the entire day, what stood out more than anything else was Victoria and Yoni’s fun-loving spirits, and their joy at being able to celebrate with their friends and family. It was a day full of love and laughter, and we were so thankful to be there to capture it all.

Special thank you to to Ted Daniels and his team at the Boston Harbor Hotel, to Jodi Raphael of Jodi Raphael Events, and of course to Victoria and Yoni! Mazel Tov!

A classic blue and white wedding on the Boston seaside gets a fun twist with gold detailing and colorful pops of pink. This Boston Harbor Hotel summer wedding was the perfect mix of nautical elegance and summer fun, making for a truly unique and special day of celebration. All of the day’s events took place at the Boston Harbor Hotel — starting in the Hotel’s Admiral Suite where Courtney and her bridal party got ready. Both the bride and groom had gorgeous views of the city, the Greenway, and the Boston Harbor below while they prepared for the day.

We took Courtney and Brian outside to the waterfront for their first look, and stayed out for some formal photos of the couple around the Hotel and in front of the beautiful Boston Harbor. We were joined by the wedding party for group formals on the waterfront, their light blue dresses and navy blue suits matched perfectly with the seaside vibes of the Boston Harbor Hotel. We took Courtney and Brian across the street to the Rose Kennedy Greenway for a few more formal photos outside before heading back to the Boston Harbor Hotel to begin the ceremony.

The ceremony was held in the Boston Harbor Hotel Wharf Room, which was accented with gold and white chairs, white drapes, and pink summer flowers. The couple incorporated a few elements of Jewish tradition into their ceremony, with a gorgeous white floral Chuppah overlooking the Harbor right outside. Guests moved to the Wharf Foyer for cocktails following the ceremony, while the Wharf Room was transformed for the evening reception. The venue’s existing blue and white color scheme was accented by white linens, navy blue menu cards and gold and soft white lounge seating. The room was lit with gentle pink uplighting and accented with bright pink summer bouquets and a few shimmers of gold for a really unique twist on a classic color palette. As the sun began to set we headed outside for a few more photographs of Courtney and Brian along the beautiful waterfront, then it was back into the party to celebrate all night with family and friends.

Special thanks to Jodi and her team at Jodi Raphael Events and to Ted Daniels and his wonderful team at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Congratulations Courtney and Brian!

When we asked Ashley and Chris to describe the vision for their wedding day, it was clear they were working with their venue in mind. “Classic and subtle”, the bride said, “all the design features are to compliment the Copley’s elegance”. She was of course referring to the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston, where she and Chris celebrated their beautiful and elegant summer wedding.

Ashley and Chris chose a soft color palette of pink and white, which perfectly translated to each element of the day’s events. Ashley and her bridesmaids started the day in the Catie Copley Suite (named for the Fairmont Copley’s original K-9 ambassador), the bridesmaids wore soft pink dresses and all of the ladies carried pink and white rose bouquets. Once everyone was ready, we headed to Saint Cecilia Parish just a few blocks away. Ashley and Chris decided not to have a first look before the ceremony, saving that special moment for when Ashley made her way down the aisle. Following the ceremony, we stayed at Saint Cecilia’s for some formal photos with the bride and groom before heading back to Copley Square.

We were joined by the rest of the wedding party for some fun photos around Copley Square — on the lawn, in front of the Boston Public Library, and in front of the Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston. Ashley and Chris even got a visit from Carly Copley — Catie’s successor as the Fairmont K-9 ambassador. Cocktail hour was held in the Fairmont Copley Plaza’s Venetian Room, then it was into the beautiful Oval Room for dinner and dancing. The Fairmont’s elegant white and gold color scheme was perfectly complimented by the pink and white details of the wedding day — including the soft summer floral arrangements, classic white linens, and white and gold details throughout.

We could not have asked for a sweeter couple than Ashley and Chris. We had so much fun with them and all of their friends and family, and loved being a part of this beautiful Fairmont Copley Plaza Boston wedding celebration.

We recently had the pleasure of capturing Alex and Anthony’s summer Boston Public Library wedding. Alex and Anthony loved the grand architecture and dramatic scenery that the BPL has to offer. The day began at the Westin Copley where the ladies gathered to help Alex get ready for her First Look. Alex’s Amsale dress has the prettiest bow with amazing pockets. The ladies wore long, elegant gowns while the gentlemen were formal in black tuxedos with crisp pocket squares. The couple decided to have their First Look on the Grand Staircase where they had a few private moments before heading off to get some formal shots of the entire wedding party.

The Courtyard at the BPL is both lavish and bright and makes for an absolutely amazing ceremony location. Alex and Anthony exchanged vows, rings (and tears!) surrounded by their nearest and dearest. As we moved from cocktails in the Courtyard to Bates Hall, we snapped a large group shot of the newlyweds with all of their guests!

The reception was located in Bates Hall and filled with the romantic glow of the historic green lamps and twinkling candlelight. Alex and Anthony created a classic, clean palette of whites, creams and greens which lined the center of tables that felt timeless. The newlyweds love croquembouche and opted to serve it in place of a traditional wedding cake.  As the evening continued, Alex and Anthony converted the Abbey Room into a lounge filled with jeweled-tone uplights. The DJ kept the dance floor moving as the night moved from dinner to dancing.

Thank you to Alex and Anthony for trusting us to shoot your wedding.  Congratulations again – may your life together be as beautiful as your wedding!  Special thanks to the Boston Public Library and the expert staff at The Catered Affair.

Recently, we had the pleasure of photographing the State Room Boston summer wedding of Stephanie and David.  From the bride – “We are Boston. It is where we met (Scholar’s) and where we live (Southie). We wanted a personal wedding that was true to us and asked our close friend to marry us.” With sweeping views of the city, the State Room was the perfect location to showcase their beloved home town.

After getting ready at the nearby Langham Hotel, we walked across the street to picturesque Post Office Square. Waiting for the bride for their first look alongside Dave was their beloved dog Manny (who made an appearance at their engagement sessions earlier this year). Steph also wanted to incorporate her love for the color pink and went with a soft pink and grey color pallet for the day. As a surprise, the parents of the bride had the pink taxi from the Langham to drive the bride over to State Street.

The ceremony and reception took place in the Great Room where guests watched the sunset over the Boston Harbor as they enjoyed dinner and heartfelt toasts. Joey Scott and the Connection had the room dancing and celebrating for the rest of the evening. Congratulations Steph and Dave and thank you for being such a pleasure to work with on your beautiful day! Also a big thank you to the always amazing team at State Room Boston.

We always love photographing events at the Four Seasons Hotel and we couldn’t have been happier to return for Mia + Corbin’s Summer Four Seasons Boston Wedding! The couple each got ready at their parents homes and then proceeded to the church for their ceremony. Everyone in attendance couldn’t help but smile as Mia + Corbin stood in front of their loved ones and exchanged their wedding vows. The very church Mia’s parents got married in many years ago.

Following the ceremony we headed into Boston, where we took the family and wedding party to Boston Public Garden on a gorgeous summer day for photographs. Before heading into cocktail hour we took a few minutes to capture some classic photographs of the newlyweds on the Four Seasons grand staircase.

Soft light, a classic palette of white and gold, breathtaking floral arrangements and the artful lighting design of Suzanne B. Lowell made a stunning statement in the Four Seasons Hotel ballroom. Our happy newlyweds and wedding party gathered on the dance floor for a touching first dance. The evenings festivities were overflowing with love, laughter, family and friends.

A big thank you to Philip Deschamps and his team at the Four Seasons for always being a pleasure to work with. Thank you Mia + Corbin for choosing Person + Killian to document your special day. Congratulations to this beautiful couple, we wish you a lifetime of joy and happiness!

Ashley and Brian chose the Mandarin Oriental Boston for their recent destination wedding. The couple who live in Nevada hired local Boston designer  Eric Czerlonka of Czerlonka Event Design and Management to help bring their vision to life. The ceremony took place at The Cathedral of the Holy Cross followed by cocktail hour in the courtyard of the Mandarin. For the reception, the Oriental Ballroom was transformed by the talented team at the Mandarin, Eric and his team as well as the Marc Hall Design and Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting Design teams.

From Ashley and Brian – “Planning a destination wedding is as exciting as it is complex.  The single most important factor in its success is having expert and visionary people on your team who are trained in providing first class service at every entry point. The wedding day was chic and magical in every aspect, from the architectural flowers cascading on the tables to the modern décor.  With photos galore, we will always remember stopping traffic on Boylston Street for the perfect shot.  Sharing this most special day with our family and friends will hold a lifetime of memories.”

Eric worked with Ashley on helping to bring her vision to life for the reception. “Our goal was to create a room that was modern, sleek and sophisticated with a warm romantic feel.  We achieved this be setting the space with a combination of square mirrored tables and 36 foot long rectangular tables covered in custom silk linen.  The clean straight lines were softened with shades of white accents.  The room was was transformed by the magnificent contrasting tables installations created by Marc Hall Design and Suzanne B. Lowell Lighting Design lit the room perfectly bring all the pieces to life.”

Congratulations again Ashley and Brian and thank you for having us there to capture your beautiful destination wedding day here in New England! A big thank you as well do Donna and the team at the Mandarin, Eric and his team and to all of those who helped make this day so perfect for the newlyweds.

On a warm September evening, we were thrilled to join Simin +  Nick at the bride’s family home to see their wedding inspiration come to life. The couples vision for their wedding was elegant, magical and romantic. An evening that has the look and feel of a Midsummer Night’s Dream, complete with a lush garden setting, twinkling lights and a star-filled sky.

With a beautiful blend of Persian and Jewish heritages, Simin and Nick had a sweet and touching ceremony. Simin’s family’s backyard magically transformed into soft palate of blush, ivory, and green creating an elegant backdrop for this gorgeous couple! An enchanting Sperry Tent was beautifully transformed by the incredible teams at Winston Flowers, Rentals Unlimited, and Simeral & Co. Guests enjoyed the live music of Sultans of Swing, including a beautiful rendition of the classic Ella Fitzgerald number, “Love is Here to Stay”, as Simin + Nick’s first dance. This beautiful couple celebrated their special day surrounded by loving family and friends.

Congratulations to Simin + Nick and thank you for putting your trust in us to document this extraordinary celebration of love!

Katherine and Andrew knew they wanted a sophisticated and elegant black tie wedding from the day they got engaged. They chose the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Back Bay for their summer wedding.

Design, decor and coordination of Katherine and Andrew’s vision was brought to fruition by the team at Hopple Popple, Inc and was even more beautiful than they had envisioned. Echoed in the dance floor, coordinated yet unique bridesmaids dresses, and the floral design by Winston Flowers (with regal pops of red), a color palette of black and white paired nicely with the black tie celebration.

Their emotional first look took place outside in the private courtyard of the hotel which also made for a perfect backdrop for photographs with the couple’s family and friends. The Mandarin Ballroom was transformed for the ceremony with floor to ceiling white drapes and accented with 2 stunning floral arrangements created by Winston Flowers at the beginning of the aisle. Katherine and Andrew exchanged their vows in a traditional Jewish ceremony under a beautiful floral chuppah.

A combination of rectangular mirrored tables mixed with classic rounds blended perfectly for the reception and were topped with an array of white flowers and candlelight. Following dinner, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed the evening on dance floor with music from Night Shift Entertainment.

A big thank you to the team at the Mandarin and to Linda Matzkin and her team at Hopple Popple for a wonderful day! Congratulations Katherine and Andrew and thank you for choosing us to document your wedding!

Erin and Joey first met when Joey was hired to paint Erin’s best friend’s house several years ago. The couple decided to incorporated paint-themed details into their Barn at Gibbet Hill wedding day to pay homage to the day that started it all. The couple wanted their wedding day to be bright and colorful with a vintage and rustic feel and Gibbet Hill was the perfect venue for that.

After getting ready at the Westford Regency Inn & Conference Center, we headed to Groton to the beautiful St James Church for the wedding ceremony. Erin and Joey said their “I do”s during a traditional Catholic Wedding Mass before making their way to the Barn at Gibbet Hill for the reception. Joey’s uncle is a priest and performed their ceremony which made their nuptials extra special.

It was a perfect summer day and the green hills on the property of Gibbet Hill made for a beautiful backdrop for photographs with Erin, Joey, and their wedding party. The Barn itself was transformed into a rustic and elegant wedding reception for the evening’s dinner and dancing. A colorful arrangement of wooden painting sticks served as the guests’ escort cards, and they were hung between two painter’s ladders to pay tribute to the day Erin and Joey first met. The bright coral and green centerpieces were displayed in golden paint buckets, and the table’s menu cards featured a beautiful border of hand-painted pink flowers. We loved how the bride and groom added so many personal details to their decor, making their day a truly unique and romantic one. Following dinner, their guests packed the dance floor to celebrate with this wonderful couple!

A special thank you to the entire Barn at Gibbet Hill wedding team for this gorgeous event, and to Erin and Joey for letting us be a part of it! Congratulations!
