Every winter Person + Killian Photography has a party to say thank you to our incredible industry friends. It is our way of showing gratitude to everyone who puts their trust and support behind us and our work. We are so blessed to have met and worked with so many talented professionals and are truly grateful for the friendships we have made. We look forward to throwing this event each year and can’t thank everyone enough for being there!

Our “Winter Wonderland” event was produced & designed by the one and only Amy Kimball, who’s vision never fails to wow us! The party was hosted at the Boston Public Library and was filled with delicious food from The Catered Affair.  The beautiful floral arrangements were the signature touch of our dear and talented friend Chad Michael Peters and the night would not have been the same with out the collaboration of Port Lighting,Generations cinemastories, Stephanie Solomon (Rentals Unlimited), Larry Chan (Signs and Prints) and Kupah James who rocked the house !

A big thank you to The Catered Affair at the Boston Public Library and their entire staff for being such a pleasure to work with!

The photobooth is always one of our favorite highlights from the event!

When Randi, Roger and Randi’s amazing parents (Rhonda and Stanley) stepped foot in the Person + Killian Photography studio a few months back, we all clicked instantly! In the hour or so that we all chatted, there were lots of laughs and smiles as the newly engaged couple chatted about their upcoming Omni Parker House wedding.

Randi and Roger first saw our wedding display in the Tremont Street window of the Omni Parker House. The moment that they toured the historic hotel, they knew it would be the perfect location for their October Boston wedding.

All of the events of the day took place throughout the hotel including a few photos of the newlyweds out on ballroom roof deck followed by their Jewish wedding ceremony in the Alcott ballroom.

The reception took place in the beautiful Press Room where the couple and their guests (most who came from out of town) danced throughout the night. This was such an amazing and kind group of people (We were even invited to come out to visit with multiple family members if we are ever up for a trip to San Diego, California).

Thank you Randi and Roger along with your wonderful group of family and friends for making your wedding day such a pleasant and memorable experience for us to capture. It was an absolute pleasure! Also, a special Thank you to Maggie and Elaine of the Omni who sent this great couple our way!

As most of you know, Person + Killian Photography has studios in both Newport, RI and Boston, MA. Even with two of us, there is always more to be done.

Recently, we came to the conclusion that the recurring dream of cloning ourselves will never happen!  🙂  So, after six years, we have decided to hire a personal assistant!

We are thrilled to welcome Amber to our Boston Studio and are excited to have her on board.

Amber recently moved to Boston from Wisconsin and joined our team this past Monday! We want to officially welcome her to Boston and all things wedding!

Amber we are excited to work with you! We hope you enjoy getting to know Boston, including all of the fabulous shopping and restaurants right in our Back Bay neighborhood!

Felicia and Joe’s wedding weekend kicked off with a rehearsal at the TD Garden. After dinner overlooking the court, all guests were given Celtic’s t-shirts and invited down to Beantown’s infamous parquet floor for 2 hrs of open basketball.  Lil’ Phunk (the official Celtics junior dance troupe) took center court to teach interested guests their moves. Person + Killian Photography was thrilled to capture this a-typical and fun-filled evening for the newlyweds to be.

The wedding day started with getting ready at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. From there, the ceremony took place at Boston’s historic Arlington Street Church. The couple along with their wedding party took photos in the Public Garden before heading to the tented reception at the groom’s family home. Guests were treated to the scrumptious food and cake catered by MAX Ultimate Food in the tent with décor, flowers and lighting from Michael & Company, SBL Lighting and Table Toppers of Newton.

Felicia and Joe – Thank you for choosing us to capture your special day, to Jen for making the weekend run so smoothly and to Neal Balkowitsch for thinking of P+K for this unforgettable wedding weekend.

What do you get when you mix an elegant Boston venue, a stunning couple, beautiful décor, a rockin’ band, a photo booth with props and guests who are not afraid to get down….? Annie & Jonathans wedding at the Four Seasons Boston and Person + Killian Photography was there to capture it all!

Below is just a sneak peek at this classic wedding with a modern approach that was filled with beautiful shades of whites, pink & brown hues! Annie’s bright pink high heels were an especially fun detail we loved to capture. The ballroom was washed with purple up lights and lots of soft candlelight for a romantic party atmosphere. Oh… and they had some of the best dance moves we have ever seen!

Congratulations to Annie & Jonathan and thank you for choosing Person + Killian Photography to document this beautiful and fun, summer wedding at the Four Seasons Boston.

Throughout this summer Person + Killian Photography has had the pleasure of working with the talented ladies at Tangorra Wedding Planning on several occasions. We have already shared the beautiful weddings of newlyweds Tiff & Joe as well as Mia & Torin. Over the last couple of weeks we were thrilled to yet again work with Linnea, Francie and Megan with two more amazing couples.

First was the wedding of Melissa & Dennis at the Boston Harbor Hotel. The day started with getting ready at Melissa’s home where we got our first glimpse of her spectacular Monique Lhuillier gown. We loved the reaction of her bridesmaids when they first saw the dress!

After the ceremony at St. Brigid Church in Lexington, it was off to the Boston Harbor Hotel for formal photos with the newlyweds and their wedding party followed by their reception in the Wharf Room.

The reception look that Melissa had dreamed of was complete with linens from Table Toppers of Newton and lush soft pink and white flowers by Spruce Floral.

Next we had the wedding of Andrea & Brian at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common. Andrea got ready in one of the suites of the Ritz overlooking Beacon Hill and Brian joined her there for their emotional first look.

After a few photos we headed across the Street to the Common for a few formal images. Both Brian and Andrea were excited to have a shot with the landmark Loews Theatre signs in the background.

One of our favorite moments of the day was when a MA state trooper stopped traffic on Tremont Street for the couple to head back to the hotel. Moments later we saw that Bon Jovi was exiting the hotel to head to his Boston gig. Thanks for providing P+K w/ that photo op!

The ceremony took place in Boston’s North End at the historical Old North Church and as always it provided a perfect backdrop for ceremony images.

The reception took place in the ballroom of the Ritz and all came together beautifully with the collaboration of flowers from Tangerine Creations, lighting by Boston Uplights and the staff of both the Ritz and Tangorra Wedding Planning.

To kick off the reception, the couple honored Brian’s African American heritage by having a Broom Jumping Ceremony in which the bride and groom signify their entrance into a new life and their creation of a new family by symbolically “sweeping away” their former single lives and enter upon a new adventure as wife and husband.

Congratulations to both couples and thank you for being so wonderful to work with!

Person + Killian Photography was ecstatic to work once again at The Liberty Hotel with the talented Chad Michael Peters, who never fails to throw a beautiful affair.

From the start, Lauren knew Carissa & Andrews wedding would be incredible. Not only is the bride the daughter of Red Sox Hall of famer, Jim Rice and his beautiful wife Corine, she happens to be one of the sweetest & most photogenic brides we have ever worked with!

Below are just a handful of photographs from this lush wedding at the Liberty Hotel Boston. A few key details to share, the wedding party walked down the isle to a harpists playing Stevie Wonder’s “ Ribbons in the Sky” and the party included robots, which moved around the hotel!

A big thank you to our dear friend Chad Michael Peters for including Person + Killian Photography is this wonderful event. You certainly knocked this one out of the park!!

Congratulations to Carissa & Andrew and thank you for trusting Person + Killian to document this beautiful day.

As Boston wedding & event Photographers we certainly get to see many venues in the city! For Carissa & Andrew, Scampos restaurant, located in the Liberty Hotel provided the perfect scene for their chic Boston Rehearsal Dinner. This high- energy, contemporary space with shiny copper lamps &  glowing orange bar perfectly complimented the lavish decor of our talented friend Chad Michael Peters.

Over the past few weeks Person + Killian Photography has spent a lot of time at the Boston Public Library. It is one of Boston’s most unique venues and we have had a blast getting to know the space better!

Most recently we photographed the wedding of Erica and Mike, a photo-shoot for The Catered Affair and Boston Magazine’s launch party for Boston Weddings Fall/Winter 2010 Issue!  A big thank you to our friends at the BPL and Boston Magazine for thinking of us for these fantastic events!

Venue: The Boston Public Library, Catering: The Catered Affair, Flowers: Tangerine Creations, Lighting: Groove Entertainment, Sparkling Rose and Prosecco: Martini + Rossi, Tables and Linens: Rentals Unlimited, Gowns:Priscilla of Boston, Makeup: Katrina Hess, Parting gifts: Bliss Spa at the W Hotel, Petit fours and cupcakes: Jenny’s Cakes

Erica & Mike live and planned their wedding from NYC, so they ended up booking Person + Killian Photography over the phone. We had the pleasure of meeting them for the first time at their Engagement session in Newport, RI. From the minute this chic couple stepped in front of Lauren’s camera, she knew their wedding day  at the Boston Public Library would be nothing short of incredible.

The bride wore an amazing Monique Lhuillier dress that photographed perfectly with the beautiful pillars, unique architecture and outdoor courtyard of the Boston Public Library. Also, we loved the “library themed” details that were carried throughout their reception. For example, a library card catalog filled with flowers at the escort table was filled with adoraroble seating cards (which looked like library checkout cards).

A beautiful couple with fantastic taste having their wedding at the Boston Public Library….what more could you ask for?!

Person + Killian Photography could not imagine starting off the spring wedding season with a nicer couple, Leslie & David. The day began at the sophisticated Langham Hotel Boston. Due to April showers, the couple decided to have their formal photographs taken inside the Langham. This provided for a beautiful and unique setting for bridal formals.

The ceremony and reception took place at the scenic Downtown Harvard Club. Which is located on the 38th Floor of One Federal Street, this venue brings all of Boston into your reception, with breathtaking views of the entire city.

Congratulations to Leslie & David. It was a pleasure working with you and photographing your beautiful family.
