When asked to describe their vision for their wedding day, Brianna and Edwin said: “We wanted the night to feel glamorous and modern, but also timeless”. Their choice of the Taj Boston Rooftop was the perfect location for this intimate event — and they took full advantage of everything the space has to offer!
The entire day’s events took place at the Taj Boston, with both bride and groom getting ready inside the hotel before heading outside for formal photos. The Boston Public Garden is situated right across the street from the Taj, so it was a quick walk to get out into the park. We started with just Brianna and Edwin alone, taking advantage of the beautiful greenery and fall trees just starting to turn orange. We were soon joined by the wedding party, who kept with the elegant monochromatic theme of the evening in simple black dresses and tuxes with white bouquets for the ladies.
We headed back to the hotel for the late afternoon ceremony, which took place up on Taj Boston Rooftop. The intimate gathering of friends and family watched Brianna and Edwin become husband and wife, overlooking the beautiful city 17 stories below. As the sun set over the skyline, the Taj Boston Rooftop was transformed for the evening reception.
Brianna and Edwin wanted to keep with the monochromatic color palette of the rooftop (with its black and white checkerboard floor), and accent with colors of gold and champagne for a modern and elegant touch. Guests were seated at two long banquet tables with white linens, black chiavari chairs, and black vases holding gorgeous white bouquets. Even the cake was an elegant black and white, topped with an image of the Boston skyline that was also used on their wedding invitations. They even made sure to include homages to Brianna’s infamous love of champagne and roses, with white roses in all of the floral arrangements and small bottles of champagne given out as a favor at the end of the night.
This Taj Boston wedding was perfectly elegant, modern, and romantic. Brianna and Edwin really allowed their celebration to be a reflection of their love and their unique relationship, and we were so happy to be there to share it with them!
